Cal Harris Murder Trial Preview

In Tioga County, the big joke is if you have $ and want to get away w/ murder, do it here. G.(Joey) Cataldo was biasly treated in the Tioga County jail and given a slap on the wrist for the murder of the Hickey boy and Joey's mother, Gina, who washed the murder weapon, was never charged for tampering with evidence. Recently Joey was in trouble in Florida for physically assaulting his girlfriend, and yet does the media report any of this??? The same is true about Cal Harris. He was verbally abusive and did this in front of friends family and his employees. My Aunt believes his father Dewight's first wife also was a "missing" person in the 40s-50s. I beleive that $ will play an important role in Cal's aquittal and yet another misjustice will prevail in Tioga County. I'll be amazed if they can find enough jurors who aren't aware or bias about this case--unless it's a jury of his friends. Time will tell.

cataldo was not treated any differnetly than anyone else in the jail..it is not our job to "punish " people..our job is to provide a safe place for them to live while the state punishes them or the county that puts them people watch way too much tv..you don't know what you are talking about...I know I have worked in it for 27 yrs...

He is still charged with murder, but it will be a year before he stands trial again.

Has anyone considered that he may not have done this? How about a body or more material evidence? Don't we want real justice here? What if he is the wrong guy and the focus on him has excluded the investigation of anyone else? I don't know if he did or did not kill his wife, but I do know that a conviction on such little material evidence is a very scary thing. If I were on the jury I would definitely have reasonable doubt and you SHOULD NOT hand down a guilty verdict if there is any reasonable doubt. That is something that is supposed to protect the innocent. I am not saying he is or isn't, but what if?

There are too many wealthy people that can manage the disappearance of a body. Do you really want the fact that a body wasn't found to be the impetus for the suspected murderer to go free?

Come on Dmr in Manlius,NY....YOU probably believe in the easter bunny....look at all the little bits and pieces of evidence,along with the fact he was going to have to shell out mega $$$$$in the divorce....it's the only likely conclusion...add that along withthe fact that the family has distanced themselves ie.Kevins royal automotive..it's like lets hide the assets....

DMR is right. There was NO evidence. Merely suspicion. And the suspicion always falls on the spouse.

Very little actual evidence other than hear say. This wife was already involved in "two" seperate relationships outside her marrige. No body, No weapon,and 5 blood spots in the kitchen/pantry??

His actions after her dissaperance spoke louder than words or actions. WHY..........did he not seem concerned or upset, and even have a girlfriend stay overnight and make a statement like that to her. Circumstancial?????????? Maybe, but like I said actions speak louder than words.

Since he wasa car dealer, the body was probly in a crushed car, never found

That is why he is getting a fair trial..Which he has.... come on about Tubbs.... Oh he remembers 6 years ago seeing her just didn't say anything till he was getting sentence then just happend to see it in the paper and it was around the same date he seen her...hmmm Tubbs has a amazing mind. I wouldn't remember back that many years and hmmmm The trial is big.....If he knew her ughhh why not say something early????? come on!!!!!!!!!! There is so much evidence against him...
