I'm wondering about all of the personnel changes that have been made at Aliceville City Hall during the past few months. And, who is running for Mayor?

It appears that Mayor McKinzey would rather play racial politics than stand up for what is right. He made an attempt to cover up illegal activity in hopes of getting a vote. I understand the Chief of Police was "let go" for bringing some things to light, namely the theft of taxpayer money by a city employee that probably has been going on for some time. That city employee is still on the job! Where is the justice in that?

Frederick Kennedy is running for Mayor. while he is not a real strong candidate, anything would be an improvement. At least he is HONEST!

No. It didn't have anything to do with his wife. That piece in the paper was written by Alan Harper.

NOT JACK! He is McKinzey's advisor, I guess. It seems he is involved in all of the personnel matters. I don't think that should be part of the Economic Developement person's job.

I thought it must be something like that. Small town corruption! Small town politics! What are the taxpaying citizens of Aliceville going to do about this?

That is serious...covering up illegal activity for political reasons or for any reason. He should not be allowed to get away with that. What can be done? Can it be proven?

You must be one of the elite. Does the City Crew cut your grass for free? They do for several of the wealthy property owners around town FREE OF CHARGE. This CAN be proven and has been going on for years! The average person can't get anything done by the City without having to pay. The Council passed a law that you can't burn leaves in your yard. Now you have to PAY the city to pick them up. Do you know what they do with them? They take them behind the city park and BURN THEM!!!

I don't live in Aliceville. No, the City doesn't cut my grass and I doubt they cut anyone else's for nothing.

Yes, and I'm glad I did! Somebody needed to. The taxpayers of Aliceville need to know what's going on in their city government. Sounds like Aliceville needs a new mayor!

Wow! Talking about small town corruption! Why has this been allowed to go on? Don't any of Aliceville's citizens know about this? Do they care? I certainly would if it was my taxpaying dollars! I guess it all boils down to politics. Maybe the people of Aliceville feel there's nothing they can do. I agree with Wondering. I think it's time for some new leadership in Aliceville, starting with the Mayor.

Daily Horoscope for December 19

Sagittarius

A loved one gets hold of the wrong end of the stick today, causing endless hassle and fuss. They're likely to get upset in the process, so you have to calm them down, and that could lead to a squabble. You may also have to cope with discord when discussing family matters, with certain people getting bogged down in daft details that you think have nothing to do with the main issue.
