Ya Im sure you would like *white* back in charge. Hanks has done so much all the years hes been a trustee, Im sure we could expect more of the same if he was Mayor. What could he do as Mayor that he couldn't do all these years as a trustee. Hes good at making kids thats for sure. You talk about the Mayor we have and you suggest someone that has had a chance to do something for years and we've seen nothing ? I think your the raciest.

for one hanks was raised in the village himself, and knows the town better than u. and he has so amny children and has now invested his carreer in sauk village- that he will proablly never leave. so my point is that he cares about the town. hes a trustee and as a trustee he can only do so much. if he was the mayor he'd be a damn good mayor. for those reasons alone- and im sure the color of his skin doent make him any more qualified. BUT he is qualified in my book.

and he did some good work at the meeting the other day calling out the corrupt people working for the village, and thats why a few of them are removed and one is on temp. leave. so take that! he is doing good work and i hope he keeps it up, cause im on his side. he cares at least! and he has to live in the town that hes working for.
im just curious does mayor towers live in sauk village? or does any of the other clowns working under his rascist belt? just sayin.

its clear that the mayor favors black people, and it is a damn shame that we even have to bring up talks about skin color in 2010. the mayor cares more about giving his bone head ford heights friends jobs than he cares about the quality of life in the town he is mayor of. and im sure the people that support him will disagree, but u cant disagree with the actions that he has made that prove my statement to be true.
it is clear that the administration is divided in 2. the people who care about sauk village vs. the people who dont. and i didnt think the mayor was a bad guy until he tried to veto the votes of his friends being thrown out of office-**even when his veto wasnt even an option!** now i feel like it is clear that his best interest is not in the town's best interest, & that to keep scum people like that from running/ruining our town. the mayor has hired his friends instead of hiring people that are actually qualified for the position. now if that is racist, im not sure. but it is biased, and unfair. im sure anyone who wants to argue over this post or argue to support mayor towers' decisions probally have never even been to a village meeting. im sure they just love him because they are living it up in the cozy section 8 that he helped put them in, i dont think the residents are as racist at all. can we please not use anymore words like a WHITE in charge, or a BLACK in charge. i dont care what color your skin is.. all i care about is the quality of life in the town i live in, and i care about what is best for everybody living in it. you people who are stuck on the skin colors need a reality check, and having that attitude is going to get u nowhere fast. its getting a little old playing the racist card, give it up. how about whats RIGHT! and mayor towers isnt right at all, and if we keep him we deserve what we get! be gone!

I don't understand your argument. You say that the town has been run by whites for years, but did it keep you from moving here? Obviously you had a choice because you passed by Chicago, Markham, Harvey, Ford Heights, Calumet City before you came to this "hick" town. The other towns have room and are by no means are at capacity. Feel free to join them and their style of politics. Be truthful with yourself and ask the basic question, what has the Mayor done within the past year to "clean" up the mess the last administration supposedly left. Where is his plan? Where is his state of the village address? What is he planning to do to bring INCOME to this village? He campaigned on leadership skills, but he has yet to show it! I am hoping to see this from him, but his main concern seems to br about Brunetta and Chief Martin. The Trustees didn't want them, he should move on and get back to the business of running this village. Post an intelligent response to this argument.

Why don't you tell me how much the Mayor can get done when he has to fight for anything he tries to do. Good luck trying to sell a house around here. I never said this was a *hick* town but I couldn't have come up with a better name for it. You would be number one Hick. If the mayor has no concern for the residents , why was he out on the streets last week when the electric went out in the village? The have been numerous times I have seen him on the streets talking to people. Where have you been what kind of politics do you think has been here all these years...Are you one of the good old boys trying to get your favors back?

Like she said....post an intelligent response. Question for you : If your Direct TV was down , would you stay in the house in the dark or rub elbows with your neighbors to galvanize support?
Towers ran on the platform that he was going to clean up the village government We are still waiting..........
