SJC is not nuts. As a youngster, we were invited every year to a place on Basswood Lake. There was a table in the lodge on which guests over the years had carved their initials and names. Every year I would check the table to see my initials. Eight years ago I was able to show my husband those initials on the table which was moved along with the building to Fall Lake after the BWCA was established. Children are rarely given the chance to carve anything into furniture, much less encouraged to do so. Thanks for bringing back great memories of those weeks on Basswood.
