Why are people still racist against blacks and others?

I'd like to have a conversation with some people about why people are racist against a whole group instead of its individuals. If you'd like to share a comment that isn't rude and doesnt contain racial slurs feel free to share.

I'd just like to understand

Every race has racist people, color & religion makes no difference. No one color or religion has the market cornered on racism either. BUT that being said some of the rudest people I have came across in the St Louis Metro area are the blacks & even had my black friends tell me the same thing. A lot of them still think they are Owed something & show no respect to anyone including their own kids & family. But then I have also ran into some really rude & low life white people who only cared about what they could steal or con someone out of. But then I'm also sick of seeing 5 generations on welfare and 13 yr old black girls pregnant just so they can get a welfare check. I guess they are following in Mom's foot steps.
I could care less what color, religion you are or even what country you may have came from, all I ask for is RESPECT & I'll gladly give it in return. Disrespect or be rude to me, I will guarantee you'll get more then just an ear full regardless of who you are, or what color(white, black, brown or even green), religion or country you may have came from.

Well a lot of people of different races do not raise their kids correctly so of course you are going to meet the very rude and nasty ones. And I do know very young black girls also who get pregnant to get on welfare (im sure blacks are not the only ones) but that also goes with parenting if their parents allow that then they are going to think its ok and teach their children the same too. But a lot of blacks I know who feel that someone owes them but they are just the ones who are taught by their parents to hate whites, just like some white parents tell their children to not like or trust blacks, they also teach them that black people are apes and monkeys too. I was in an elevator at a hotel with a white mother and her child and two black females and i heard the little girl ask her mom where the two black female tails were and i thought it was quite rediculous that she corrupted her child's mind with crap like that. I understand that some people's parents or grandparents were raised in the early 1900's and were taught by their parents to be disrespectful to another race but honestly I think it's stupid. I've met polite, respectful and helpful whites, blacks Hispanics, etc. but I've also met rude, disrespectful ones too but I'm not going to hate the entire race for that. I'd hate everybody if that was the case, including myself. And for "more heat" my eyes are open, and my mind is too.

I beg to differ we truckers are the worst society has to offer. We molest our children,dogs and coworkers. Did i mention we drink too much and lose our women to the lazy blacks. We would be racist if we weren't so much like them.

First of all there are young White girls that get pregnant to get on welfare also, it is in all races. I think a lot of times white people are not racist they just beleive what they have been taught because they have always heard that blacks are no good that is not true. My Dad use to tell us kids never to trust a white person I grew up not trusting white people and disliking them because that is what my Dad taught us kids. I had to wait until adult hood in order to understand that that is not so, we were told that white people hated us which that was true on some level. My dad told us terrible things about white people. When I started my first job is when I came in contact on a daily basic with whites that I relized that all white are not bad not the way my dad told us. There are things in our black race that we have been told about white people as well as what they have been told about us this is where the misunderstanding come in. There are a lot of Black people that screw it up for all black people and the misconception is always there when you see some Blacks act a dam fool but Whites do it to they get pregnant and get welfare have many baby daddies so don't blame it all on blacks whites are just as bad there is good and bad in all races.

Why don't black women like white women?

Bad behaviour makes people not like you.

Color of skin has nothing to do with it.

Explain to me why black teenagers are so mean to residents in St. Joe's Gardens.

Why do black people let their children hang out in gangs?

Why do black people stand in the middle of the road and block traffic?

Why do black people wear pants around their knees?

Mainly, why aren't black parents taking better care of their black children?

historically blacks were discriminated against and were treated like garbage by the whites and with time and laws we hoped as a people to make all things equal or at least equal opportunity but what went wrong was nobody told the blacks that they have to go to school and learn , get out from under the welfare trap and act like other folks in their community , they ignored MLK's advice and with a little help or our democratic goverment representatives all we have now unfortunately is a race of welfare dependant criminals that the only future they have is dismal at best , if blacks don't want to change on their own they won't ,, and regarding St Joe's that place was full of white punks long before the blacks moved in ,, basically what I am saying is STAY IN SCHOOL, PULL UP YOUR PANTS AND STOP BEING A CHUCKLEHEADS!!!all you have to do is prove the white devil wrong !!!

Great question. Good upstanding black citizens far outweigh the piece of crap thugs that make it impossible for the black race to be totally accepted. There are tons of white sh-tbums in this world but the difference in my opinion is, the extreme level that the black thugs take it to. Unfortunately, when the white business owner sees the black applicant come into his office, quite often his first thought is the black thug who is walking down the middle of the street with his azz hanging out. The disrespectful thug in the store or the things on TV that these thugs do that are above and beyong what the white hoosiers do. Example, last night on news they showed a story about a large black house party that was broken up by police, so all of the people simply went to a Walmart and ransacked and stole things. You don't see that kind of stuff except for the black community. It is sad and everytime something like that happens, it puts the breaks on the advancement of the black community. Doesn't make it right, but it is the truth.

That is funny coming from you. If we ran a poll to see who was disliked the most, you would win. You were an unlikable kid and now you are an unlikable adult. People have always used you to do their dirty deeds, because you do not have the common sense to stay out of trouble. I do not know how your wife stomachs you. You need to take up reading and stay off the internet and let us have topix back and use it the way it was intended. You have attacked alot of people who are not Trucker and you are a racist.
