Saxonburg hires pair of part-time police officers

They have ruined Saxonburg. Nobody comes to this town anymore because of Police harassment now!

The Mayor won't last long with hiring strong-arm thugs to make money in fines and tickets.

I've been pulled over three times for "speeding" on Main St. Given a ticket for one. One of them was for 44 in the 35. Give me a break.

Well take the hint, slow down. Its mostly 25 mph in Saxonburg.Street are narrow, it's an old town. What's the rush.We are residential. We don't want our children and elderly run over by someone who is in a hurry going nowhere.Take a deep breath and slow down. If your late for a date, plan your day better next time and give yourself the proper time to get to your destination with the known speed limits.44 in a 35 is amost 10 over the limit, of course you got a ticket, where is the mystery? You deserved it!

Main St. turns into 35 right near the VFW. I'm not sure if that's considered Main St. still or not, but it's the same road.
If you would have READ, I didnt state that the ticket was for in the 35 zone. According to what you're saying, if you're going 36 in that 35, you should get a ticket, right? The law is the law, right? C'mon.. give me a break buddy.

Also, the last time I checked, children and elderly shouldnt be wandering the street where they could get hit. Anyone on the street has the same chance of being hit by a car going 20 mph as they do by one going 36 ;)
Maybe we should have some adult education on the perils of not using a crosswalk if we're all about going overboard, like you seem to be.
Actually, considering that you say someone who speeds deserves a ticket, using that logic, someone who jaywalks deserves being hit?

P.S. The cops sit on Carol Drive barely past the 35 mph zone so that they have a greater chance of catching you "going over" the 25mph speed limit that the road suddenly turns into there.

John, the cops in saxonburg borderline harrass the good citizens of the town non stop. Look at the garbage they pulled recently where some got fired.
They should worry about the drug use going on in certain areas vs. the speed of some drivers.
Ever see how fast people go on Knoch Road right through all of the schools? I dont see anyone pulled over in that area and people go 60 on that road most of the time.

I have lived here for over twenty years and pass through town daily, I have never had 1 problem with police or any one else for that matter. I think I did have someone give me the finger a few years back on main street because they were in a hurry and couldn't wait their turn; they almost side swiped me but other than that I have never had a problem. I am sorry you did. I will keep my eyes open, maybe things are changing as you say.Have a nice day.

You think I'm mentally unstable and I shouldnt be driving??? In my 14 years of driving (most of the time down rt. 28 for work or 422 for school) I've gotten one ticket and never had an accident prior to moving to saxonburg. In my four years of living here I never once got pulled over or even saw a cop until I'd say four months ago.
Now every time I pass Carol drive I see one sitting there. What i'm saying and you're ignoring is that they have to have better things to do. Its not like that stretch of road is accident prone. I dont recall ever seeing one there since I've lived here.

As for your theory of the 5mph "rule", is that state law, or?? C'mon buddy. Why dont they just raise the speed limit to 30mph instead of 25 if they'll just let everyone do it? If you're driving 30 then you just broke the law too numnuts. Your logic flat out sucks. I'm not fussing over a ticket, I didnt even fight it. Wow, looks like someone got their panties in a twist Johnny boy! I posted it because I think the saxonburg cops are bogus and dont do any real police work and felt like giving an example. I didnt expect someone to thoroughly examine it like the anal bead that you seem to be.
It seems like they just give me warnings after my initial ticket, so maybe I'll just continue to do what I do and get warnings.. Looks like I "wont run out of money" that way. And you call me a dipshit haha The fine was already paid,like I mentioned before. Either pay attention or learn how to read. I guess illiteracy is common in this area judging by some of the residents.

A ticket is a ticket. So what? Big deal. What about the douche cop that has been suspended in Saxonburg? No one wants to talk about his law breaking ways. And no one wants to report to the people what has happened. Fired or Resigned? I read where he forge another officer's signature. Isn't that a crime? We get a ticket for speeding...that's breaking the law. So we pay for it. What about him? He resigns and gets a job some where else to do the same. Now, that sounds like dirty politics.

Thank you Tammy for being one of the few who see's something wrong with what the Saxonburg police force is doing. The best part of the deal is, the biggest douche cop of the bunch is still working there. He wasnt even the one that tried to erase all of the porn he was surfing on the internet with a computer cleaner, or tried to get a DUI offender a lesser charge.
