It is amazing how one person asked a question and right away once again people start back stabing and name calling. I'm happy for the Fire Department and EMS, I guess if your house is on fire or you need medical help you have the right to refuse service!

The question is why are people starting to bash people who have FINALLY stood up to DOTTIE (thought I would use the same style of writing the above prefers to keep it identifiable) The other question would be how could you know exactly who has been posting here in regards to DOTTIE when there are so many people who could be posting. It seems here lately, DOTTIE has been a very interesting subject. Although from looking at the past with her, seems she has always been "on both sides of the fence" no matter what she is involved in. For some reason lately some people are no longer going to put up with her bs - I guess they have just had enough. Why would someone just stand by and let her totally demolish something that is beneficial - not only to the community, but to their family too - just because she wants to be the new ambulance director and wants her son to be the fire chief. She is just throwing another one of her fits - as for me - I am glad AT LEAST SOMEONE HAS THE BALLS TO HIT HER HEAD ON! As for the rest - keep letting her do what she is doing - phone calls to the state, letters to the state, PRIVATE pow wows to try and destroy everything that Hanna has recovered from, petitions, phone calls to the sponsoring physician of our ambulance service, low balling FD members, talking trash about the new fire chief, talkng trash about the new ambulance director, talking trash about the Gregory's and the old fire department,(too much more to list)- you also will be the subject of her next "tantrum". So as far as the people who have quit the FD so far - I for one have talked to them and their reasons for quitting are substantial and honest - DOTTIE! Not because of anything else - just plain DOTTIE! They don't like the way she treats people, the way she talks (yells) at people, she can't seem to be satisfied unless she is in charge, they won't abide with her trashing the new chief or ambulance director, they won't abide by being "knocked down" everytime they are trying to train someone to help them out with their work schecules, they won't put up with the way she throws a fit everytime something doesn't seem to go her way - sounds like a legitimate reason to me! In fact - I know for a fact 4 of them have been asked to go "on the record" and help solve the problem that the new fire chief seems to ignore - but they don't want to destroy what has been accomplished - they feel DOTTIE will eventually. So good luck FD - you will need it with what is going on behind the scenes with that one!

Why should someone be expected to so called keep their mouth shut when from what i have seen and heard the above statement by the question is seems to be true? I have not only heard, but seen some of the things they are talking about. If someone sees that something is not right then shouldn't they do something about it especially if it concerns the safety and well being of the community or their family? I don't know of one person who is in their right mind that would say different. From what a few of us have seen dottie does do alot of community activities but they all seem to come with a price. No matter what you do to help you still can't yell and scream at people and you sure shouldn't try to undermind what accomplishments have been made by other hard working people. just doesn't seem right. why hasn't anything been done - it doesn't make sense to lose so many people just to keep one from throwing fits. Is it true that the former fd also had these issues with this person? I have heard, but don't know for sure.

You guys are bitching about the same things you have only changed the names. There are too many chiefwannabes and too many wannabeindians. A lot of people have no idea what they really want.

Sounds like everyone has an excuse for everything. could it be that it's not dottie, just to many lazy people. Yes I have heard that the reason people quit was dottie also, but the truth is they just couldn't handle the pressure. So first they didn't join because of the Gregory's now they quit because of dottie. Dottie has done a lot for the town, she does alot for everyone, but it seems that anyone who tries to do anything gets smashed in this town. So if Tina quit because of Dottie this time, what was her excuse last time, or the time before that. She has QUIT EVERYTHING she has ever tried to do. Could it be that she just can't stick with anything (but drugs) for more then two months. If you are quitting or not joinging something because of one specific person, then you are giving that one person controll over your entire life and that is something I would never do. Or else you are using them as an excuse to not get off of your big ass and do something.

the only reason these people would quit instead of just saying the fire department is to hard for me had nothing to do with dottie. as of 1 july 08 i know of 4 people that would or have quit because of Tina Baxter. How can an person be on the fire department and not be a fireman or woman?? I would never join the Department just for the simple fact the ems crew thinks they are queens (yeah what ever) A fireman is a fireman and an emt is an emt you can do both whats wrong dont have the balls to do both?

Some people are unable to fight fire. The reason for being able to do one or the other is simply for that fact. They have a few people who would like to help out, but are limited because of health issues. Some do not have health issues but would like to FOCUS on one area. I would rather be able to DEPEND on the fact that if my house was on fire my city firemen would be PHYSICALLY able to fight the fire and not collapse in the middle of it. Also why FORCE someone to be or do what they don't want to do? Isn't that what we were trying to get away from. I also believe the 4 people you are talking about are not PHYSICALLY OR MENTALLY capable of fighting a fire anyways. I mean look at who we are talking about. I am kind of nervous about who we are depending on due to their health anyways. Besides, if those 4 people were gone we would have alot more TRAINED AND CERTIFIED EMTS AND FIRMEN. That is a plain and well known fact around town. You can ask any one of the former members and they all say the same thing "I would help or join if 2 certain people were not there because we had trouble with them before". You should read what you wrote - A FIREMAN IS A FIREMAN AND AN EMT IS AN EMT - EXACTLY!!!!! There have been no complaints about this new EMS crew - in fact i hear they are doing a good job in light of what they are up against - vicious rumors, gossip, THE 4 PEOPLE MENTIONED ABOVE ( TIM, DOTTIE, TRACY, ED )scorned by the previous department so they are on a power trip. I wouldn't want to be under those people either! I hear they also had 2 more firemen quit because of the above mentioned 4 people. I hear they will work with the EMS but not the fire because of a certain little boy and his mother. That makes how many now that have quit for the same reason? 9? WIW! That's almost a whole crew. So my suggestion would be - talk to people who have been affected by an illness, injury, or health problem. Talk to them and listen to what they have to say about the above mentioned "EMS QUEENS". Honestly guys - you are barking up the wrong tree - you need to be barking up a fire hydrant!!!! Keep up the good work "EMS QUEENS" maybe by the accomplishments you are making this little town will actually be able to sleep at night - UNLESS THERES A FIRE!

Since when is it unsanitary for the firman to wear there bunker gear in an ambulance but ok for the emt's to brush their hair? How many pages will it take for them to come to my house if i get sick and can't take myself to the hospital? I know that the dispatch is an issue, when will the city figure this out and get it resolved from the s.o. end?
You can call the chief an idot but the town elected him as chief. He loves fire fighting and cares so much for the community he used his own money and time to take a BEC class when there was no ambulance, That doesn't sound like an idot to me!! Timmy works 60 hours a week and still makes time for the fire department, he even refused to leave the department when everyone else did. that is what a volunteer does. Even the cheif sister has joined to assist the town in their needs.you have diabetics as fireman/firewomen, you have a person with knee injuries as a fireman/ firewomen all have been medically cleared to be a fireman/firewomen.
at least they got their wish dottie is done per the mayor so the ambulance crew got their wish. The ambulance crew has been doing a wonderful job with helping their community, but if them being a part of the fire department is such an issue why don't they ask the mayor to get their own ambulance and run out of the city public works garage that way the fighting and bickering would stop and their would be no other issues except what they have on their own.
As far as trying to run people off the department the little secret is it is all volunteer so if they dont want to answer calls they dont have to. Family first work and then yourself.
