I dunno, my depression era parents always taught me to mind my own business and don't stick my nose into other people's problems. Maybe they were on to something. Twice in my life I have ignored this advice, once to wrestlel a burglar and hold him for the police in San Diego and another time to help restrain someone who assaulted a couple of employees of the Ralph's grocery store I used to frequent, holding this miscreant for the Anaheim cops. On both occasions I ended up regretting the risks I took. The various hearings I was required to appear for turned into ordeals that took me out of work, angering my employer. The police and DA's in both instances never even offered a thanks for sticking my neck out. Even the owners of that home in San Diego that was being burglarized never offered a word of thanks. Instead I was compelled to come to their courts time after time or face charges myself since I was under subpoena. I don't think I will witness any more crimes, regardless of what I happen to see. Ain't worth it. I think my folks were right after all.
