Citizens of Vernon have to be embarrassed by their ignorant City Commission and their incompetent Attorney Kerry Adkisson. My god you people in Vernon "Wake Up'. Was is just a few years ago, a City Council Womans son had a citizen in a side head lock beating the living hell out of him on National Television. My god I know lots of decent people in Vernon and you people need to make some changes in Vernon

the first thing they have to do is get rid of kerry adkisson i had him once hes the poorest excuse for a sttorney youll ever find vernon deserves everything that happens to them putting there faith in kerry

Rainmaker, i'll not dispute your opinion as stated , but it was the city councilwoman's husband, not her son involved in the nationally televised incident.

The incident that you speak of was nearly 30 years ago. I remember it well. Vernon could not wait until Ms. Cobb retired -- well, she did and this is what happens when you get rid of all your staff that really knows the ins and outs of a all the rules and regulations. You can blame the atty, but Ms. Cobb was sharp on this stuff and it would not have happened if she had been present.

Yes Cobb's in's and out's were how to take it in and then carry it out in her or her son's pocket. They tried to blame Baxley but in court the only fool's left standing were Cobb and Adkinson. Baxley was found without fault. Now her son is still there and the highest paid worker. Maybe that is why the city charges sewer on the 30% of the water used that never hit's a drain pipe to pay the three worst people in a city goverment in the state of Florida. I wonder how long Adkinson would last fighting a class action law suit for years of over charging for sewer. I am sure you would find that is the account Cobb jr is getting paid from, ask his mother, she set it up and council did not have the moxy to correct it.

The best thing the City of Vernon could do is fire Kerry Adkisson as City Attorney, he needs to go back to "Ole Miss' where he got his law degree and then back to the Florida Bar. That attorney should have know better and its makes Vernon City Commissioners look dumb as hell . "Wake up" Vernon City Commissioners, you all need compident legal advise. That News Paper may yet sue the City of Vernon to pay for their attorneys fees ! Wake up Vernon City Council, are you sticking with Adkisson??

And who is going to pay?Taxpayers.Look what happened with fired CA,He hired one of the best lawyers and won 300,000$.It will be the same with News Paper.

He did not win 300,000. 135,000 at the most and one third of that went to his attorney. Quit spreading so much crap around.
