My daughter was arrested back in dec. 2007 the police pulled her over because she stops quick at a signal. They made her get out of her car and checked the car out. She was not drinking or under any drus and they knew this. They arrested her for having 1/2 ounces of pot in her car. This was the first time she was ever arrested and they told her if she is truthful with them they will let her go home. Will making a long story shorter we finnaly were able to bail her out about 10 am for 2000.00 dollars. We went to court and had to come back so they could get us a lawyer. We came abck and was told the police had dropped this down to a mistomentor. Should we get back some of that bail money? Most Whittier police stink.

She should get her Medical card, it's less than $100 dollars, and worth every penny.
I was freaking out because the judge was slamming everyone that came up to him, I thought I was toast. Judge nelson dropped the case "in the interests of furthering justice". Who did you pay the 2000 dollars to? bail bondsman or the police? if you paid the police and she wen to court then you should get it back othewise you paid the bailbondsman to risk his money and that's that. As for the catering truck, it's stupid that they are disclosing the amounto of money taken, now catering trucks are going to start getting robbed. Just what we need more crime, great move dumb asses. Why do you never hear how much money was taken during a bank robbery, because it makes people see just how profitable it is! |

I thought that possession of less than an ounce was a misdemeanor and had been for years... Whittier PD does some strange things. I got popped years ago when I was home on leave. It was around mid-night, I was stationed just outside Memphis TN in Millington TN (NATTC Memphis) Home on Christmas leave. Was in the back seat of a car that was involved in a street race on Whittier Blvd (this was back when cruising was still legal) Anyway long story short, I got pulled in because I was 17 and it was past curfew... Leave it to WPD.... |
