this company has not returned my money for a cancellation and it has been 3 months. The owner of the home told me she hasn't been paid for rentals since August they owe her upwards of 3500, and her last check even bounced. they never return calls and its almost as if they hadn't intended to pay me at all. they stink. don't rent here

We have to echo previous reviewer. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY! We reserved a place, paid our deposit, and signed their contract and were completely in compliance. They came back to us 2 days later and canceled our contract. The contract we signed had no provision in it allowing them to cancel the contract. Nevertheless, we gave them a chance to explain how their actions fit under the contract. They ignored our requests and failed to offer any compensation or accommodation for their mistakes. The children were involved in picking the place to stay and are now upset. After making the reservation we bought flights as well that now affect our plans and costs. Judith is a bully and fails to read instructions. We will also be suing.

BAD company. Half way through our gathering the agent came over to the house and asked my guests to contribute money for clean up!!!!!! There was rotten food in the fridge and the pantry, a bucket full of cigarette butts by the front door and they kept changing the key box lock.

The following is a copy of my Yelp review from March/12:
I feel it is my responsibility to warn other consumers looking for a vacation home rental in the Santa Cruz area of California to be very careful dealing on-line or off-line with Judith Buck and her group known as aGreatPlaceToStay .net, LLC or A Great Place to Stay.Net Vacation Rental http://www.agreatplacetostay.net (also http://www.familyreunionhome.com ).
Back in October/11, my wife and I who are Canadians spent a lot of hours planning our Jan - Apr 2012 stay in California including searching for a vacation home in Santa Cruz for the month of March/12. Based on many factors, we chose the "Casita Feliz" home on Monterey St. in Santa Cruz from a vacation rental agency called AGreatPlaceToStay. net run by Judith Buck ... and paid a $1140 deposit four months+ in advance (electronic contract on file).
When we followed up on the final details for our March rental, two email enquiries from us (Jan 28 and Feb 6/12) were unanswered; then when we reached Judith Buck by phone on Feb 7 (after trying several other of her phone numbers that were not working), we were nonchalantly told that the Casita Feliz home was not available anymore (although it was still on the website at that point with Feb & Mar crossed off as being booked). Judith Buck is a fast talker, and the promise to call back within hours that day with some possible remedies was also broken.
All of this hassle at the last minute had put a bad taste in our mouths; it is not professional nor is it conducive to a peaceful stay for a retired senior couple snowbirding in California and both of us with health issues as outlined to Judith Buck in an email Feb 8/12 wherein we also requested a return of our $1,140 MasterCard deposit which we would require to complete our stay elsewhere. After this email requesting a refund was sent, Judith then replies with an offer of "Redwood Beach Glen" home and to please respond quickly so a new contract could be drawn up and final payment taken (this home too was showing as booked for March). Having no faith in this company, we once again requested our MasterCard deposit, and will continue our fight for justice against these people.
For anyone else unjustly treated by this company, please take action, and do not forget to document your experiences and/or file a claim with the following:

"BBB Accreditation was revoked because business failed to honor its accreditation agreement with BBB
