I am SO glad Ken got convicted! He scammed me & my dad out of $100,000 and we personally know 8 others he scammed also. He is a sociopath of the worst kind and really is a danger to folks with any money, especially the elderly or infirm. One unfortunate victim is now completely destitute, disabled and now at the mercy of fate, just ONE of SO MANY this miscreant victimized. I truly hope he serves MANY years in the slammer...what is really disquieting is knowing he has MILLIONS stashed somewhere that he will either wait to access when he finally leaves prison, but it's unlikely any of us will ever see a dime of our money. He "used" his family to work his scams and that makes him even more despicable as they are in denial over this. Poor schmucks, well, they profited from his actions, so that's the breaks. My dad has such a need for his money now that he's got dementia and needs 24 hr. care, but it's GONE...into the coffers of Ken Doolittle, bain of Santa Cruz County! I hope he has a less than pleasant time in prison for many, MANY years!

After reading many of these comments it appears that Ken used his "Christianity" to help him scam some folks. My dad & I knew him wa-AAY before he even scammed us and he never even mentioned religion aside from the name of the church he & his family attended. The other victims we personally know also weren't scammed via any religious clap-trap by Ken, maybe he designed each scam to the individuals he was targeting? He knew that any mention of religion would completely turn my dad & I off to him so maybe that's why he never mentioned it. He just told us about his yearly solo-motorcycle vacations he took and other non-religious subjects. We had 2 successful dealings with him before he reeled my dad in for the big payoff. I warned my dad that his offer was too good to be true but he went ahead and gave Ken the money behind my back, much to his dismay when the monthly payments stopped after a few months, never to resume...may you rot in prison Ken!

Hahahahaha!!! That's why he was found GUILTY of all charges!! It's because he's "innocent" that he'll become an old, old man in prison! It's heartwarming when justice is served. I would like to know what sentence he actually received. Anyone know? |

I'm going to answer my own question about sentencing!
The story is here: http://www.santacruzsentinel.com/localstories... It says after a 2 year delay, caused by his attorney being ill, sentencing will be on September 7th...next Wednesday! Yea!! The convict faces up to 27 years for the 20 theft charges he was convicted of. The hearing is set for 1:30 p.m. in Dept. 3, at 701 Ocean St., Santa Cruz. Sure wish I could be there to witness this convict's sentencing!! |

Judged: 1 Ken Doolittle is in prison for about the next 14 years. From what I understand the Judge gave him the maximum allowed. He was also ordered restitution to some of his victims. As little as it was. |

Judged: 1 I hope the fellows with him in jail give him what he needs. Hitting on old people, friends and members of your own church is as low as one can go. I've been praying for years that justice be served. Ha ha Doolittle. What and example you are to your children. |
