Children need the whole community to remain vigilant and identify these type of Monsters who live among us. Thank God for the person who reported this monster. A child should live safe and happy. It's the greatest shame of a society when parents brutalize their children. Please, Please...speak up and step in, when adults are wrong! Let's all work together to protect our children, and to the Mom of these girls, please get help.

I am white, but what you fail to understand is that I am a minority in this state! My feelings get hurt too! Everybody's do. I am not a red-neck, trailor park dwelling welfare momma, but I have been called all of those things. If I fly an American flag in my yard, people call me racist!! What ever happened to being proud to be an AMERICAN?? Not a white, black or brown one, but simply an American! I DO think it is a big deal. I hope this creature gets more then just the 7 years mentioned in the article. This is proof that the education system has gone down the drain, the government needs to give teachers back their rights. I think the system of enabling unmarried juveniles to become parents has to stop. No more welfare. Welfare is at the root of many social ills. The time has come to radically change they system, bring family responsibility and SHAME back into the equation.

Hello, I am Erik Johnston's seperated wife- Crystal King. We were married two days after I had turned 18, but ended up parting ways with age. However, I am still a family friend- I love Madison and Emma (his children), and know for a fact how much he loves his children. I still pop my head in for family bbqs and holidays... for him and his siblings became my home. He never used meth as one of the comments had said... and through the years I was with him, was never violent. He is a blue collared worker and family man- worked as a mechanic and helped out his community. I want everyone to acknowledge and realize to the best of their ability that theres a lot of things not being said about this case- the most important one was he did not throw his child, nor would he ever hurt her. Youre innocent until proven guilty... right? If Erik would have ever shown tendencies of this behavior towards me or the loved ones around him, I would be skeptikal... but he's not. Erik loves Madison and Emma... and its a shame I cant say anything about what has happened, but my blessings are with him and the children. As to their mother, Jenny, I know in my heart, that one day God will judge her for her actions and may he forgive you for all youve done...

I hope you're right, that this man did not throw his children out of the car. But, the paper quotes witnesses that saw this. So, I'm unsure how the children's mother could have influenced these reports. But it is right to keep further details out of the papers until a trial can sort out all of facts.

my name is jennifer bepristis... i am the mother of emma johnston madison johnston and annabella johnston. erik johnston is their father. now if anyone was smart enough they would look up his crimanl history and prior arrest. not only had he been arrested 4 times before this for domestic violence but also domestic violence on his ex wife crystal king. erik never wanted to be a father to his children and denied dna from the begining because he did not want to pay child support. he was not working at the time that both of our daughter madison and emma were born and only came around when it was good for him. he was having an affair with another women by the name madison luecke and i believe he has also fathered her child. u may question yourself as why i stayed with them...well i believe that everyone has good in them and can change for the better in my heart i just wanted us to be a family and for my children to have their father. the johnston family has not seen or asked about my daughter and her recovery. his mother charlene johnston was thrown out of the court house when i testified agianst him for being loud and answer phone calls. my life is a daily struggle do to the fact that i recieve the most horrible messages from his family and so called friends that have witnessed his abuse first hand, a message that i had recieved earlier was this " u should kill urself for your children sake" in may of 2011 i was awarded full custody of them ans im proud to say im there mom and would never do anything of that nature to them, one last thing erik johnston trys to hide the ones he abuses most of the time if my face was really badly beaten he would have us leave town til i was better. god will give him what he deserves.

I am resident and know Jenny's family very well. Jenny's children have been taken away from her by CPS, because Jenny abandon her children with family. The house she lives in was raided by the police and her boyfriend Mike Carr was arrested for having meth and guns on January 6th, 2012 (in the police report online). Now Jenny is on meth and loves to go around threatening people. I have seen numorous text containing threats. Her own family won't even talk to her. So in my opinion, I think they both did it. Both of them, have no parenting skills. And care about no one but themselves. They just keep having kids to get money from the welfare system. They both have never had a real job a day in their lives. We as a community are beyond happy to see the little girls are FINALLY safe. And with good poeple.
