"Debating the issues of the day in a fair manner," is a construct in your mind. It's only "fair" if it's played by your rules. Even in the face of undeniable evidence and clearly stated reasoning, you refuse to admit defeat or concede a point. There is no "fair debate" when somebody refuses to admit wrong or things they never lose.
