i just saw some e-coli around the camp by the river bed on the surface the rain washed it in already do i did not bother to extract, but i assume their is some below the surface already from before, safeway plastic bags work good for a portable toilet, then just throw away in trash can with 5-6 outer bags. River mouth is a huge recreation area, the movement has a right to protest but to less environmental area, "its" beach is another worry with dog e-coli , etc

BJ is obviously too stoned/stupid to recognize that communicable health issues are exponentially amplified when a large number of her bums congregate in the same place. Or that a large percentage of the "occupiers" arrived here from outside of Santa Cruz.(Like the junkie from Reno that overdosed on Heroin at the Bumfest 2011))

Well, my my, hasn't a lot happened since I last posted! Dinah Phillips (CHIEF petty bureaucrat) has CLOSED the County Building property from 7PM to 7AM without any public process whatsoever. Sheriffs stole the Occudome, tents, infastructure, and cited people for "lodging" and "trespassing" clearly JUST to remove an otherwise peaceable and legal assembly.

Who the F... is Dinah Phillips and why does SHE get to truncate our first amendment rights? She reminds me of Cynthia Mathews who decided that political tables can only set up for 1 hour out of 24 at any place on Pacific Ave. Again. Who the F...is Mathews and why does SHE get to truncate our rights to seek redress of govt. grievances?

And how about the SCPD? Using 90 officers to crush an encampment where people HAD safety, community, and bathrooms open at night. And who the F.... is Dannette Shoemaker that SHE has the right to say we can't congregate in San Lorenzo Park?

Hey dumbass! The US Supreme Court ruled that communities have the
right to limit overnight camping and that it is NOT a 1st Amendment issue. Why can't you understand that YOU are not the sole arbiter on legal issues? You're just a crackpot tilting at windmills and have no more influence than any one person. You're saying something does not make it true or factual. It's just the opinion of one very unsuccessful, poor decision-making pothead.

PS Did you notice that Bumfest 2011 killed all the grass at the encampment site? Not very environmentally friendly. Maybe they over fertilized the area?

BECKY: Grass??? It was mowed weeds. I've seen actual green grass lawns and the grass on the north side of the courthouse was not lawn by any means. OSC opted to use straw to prevent tracking mud and to minimize damage to the turf. Sure enough, when raked up, the mowed weeds were pretty much still there.

For SOME REASON the County has decided for the first time in decades to resod part of the property there. Kind of a weird decision in a tight budget year.$50 worth of grass seed would have been an improvement.
