Apparently if the accused go to the courthouse willingly and ask for a hearing date they won't be arrested or have to put up bail. You just know Robert will be at the door when they open to do so and avoid getting locked up in the slammer.

But will he fork over the $5000, which he obviously has, and would be fully refunded, to bail out BECKY? Probably not.

It's $5000 per charge 4@$5000 =$20,000 ( 1 felony + 3 misdemeanors). I think this is when BJ has a reality check and finds just how much support he has earned as a community activist.

I just checked Indycrap: There's no mention of any arrests or warrants.

Nobody has posted anything at all today.

Kind of like rats leaving a sinking ship!!

If BJ had the tiniest iota of common sense, she wouldn't be in this predicament. She is a self-made woman and as her life unravels all she does is blame others. Lack of taking responsibility is cause for more serious sentencing when she gets convicted. Does she think posting libelous trash will get Judge Symons to recuse herself? I think not.

Could BJ be setting up a directed verdict as "not guilty by mental defect or insanity"? I don't think that would be a hard sell to a jury.

With Indybay's penchant for removing comments, here is Johnson's comment 2/10/12 7:32pm

I just spent a day and a half in the Santa Cruz County Jail and am facing two felonies and a misdemeanor for standing on a public sidewalk. I was in the march to Wells Fargo Bank to protest predatory bank practices that have resulted in unaffordable housing, vacant housing, foreclosures, and indifference to the community in which they conduct business. Because of greed, fraud, and self-interest, thousands of citizens in Santa Cruz are experiencing homelessness while empty buildings dot the landscape allegedly for Sale/Lease, but REALLY as a huge tax write-off to offset huge profits elsewhere in the portfolios of absentee landlords.

But I opted to stand outside the building, take photos, and observe the police. I never entered the building.

After the 75 River St Occupation, much came out about who owned the property and Wells Fargo's involvement.

After reviewing the discovery presented by DA Rebecca we determined that the owners of the building did not contract the private security services of First Alarm until the night of November 30th.

They'd obviously been relying on the taxpayer paid Santa Cruz Police Department solely for their security.

Another thing of note: Police Chief Kevin Vogel told the press in December that $40,000 in vandalism" had occurred. The indictment names "Over $400". Vogel has apparently exaggerated the value of the damage by a 100 fold factor.

I'm not looking forward to 4 years in prison for standing on a public sidewalk. Blogging appears to be my REAL crime. I've been an enthusiastic supporter of those who had the balls to actually Occupy 75 River Street for real.
Their non-violent, civil disobedience action raised awareness about that building (and others similar nearby) which stand empty with HUGE costs to rent...quite purposely. These empty hulks serve the 1% and NOT the citizens of Santa Cruz.

But leave it to the SCPD to use the occupation of an empty bank building as an excuse to charge up $80,000 in "police costs"Where the first thing they did was to caused a huge traffic jam by putting orange cones up needlessly right before the evening traffic rush. They made no arrests (until they nabbed me criminally cooking pancakes in my kitchen) and to over-estimate the "damage" when the protesters left the building.

And leave it to DA BOB LEE to charge local activists with felony charges making Santa Cruz County the most draconian legal response to all the Occupy movements in the United States, and the most politically-convenient list of defendants to be found.

Becky, by virtue of talking to a woman in jail, somehow knows more about the crime that occurred at Jade Street Park than the SCSO.

Imagine how much money the taxpayers could save if we only had Becky to go and talk to each of the prisoners to determine the real stories!

Back to the subject of censorship on Indycrap.

Their monitors finally figured out how to put two of my computers on "Automatic delete", so anything I post disappears at exactly 3 minutes.

The dolts on Indycrap hav inundated it with petitions. So I decided to add my own on Indycrap. It will probably be deleted soon, so I decided to post it here too.

Restore Law and Order in Santa Cruz

We, the undersigned, support:
(a) the recent arrests of eleven activists, five of them explicitly journalists, on charges of conspiracy, vandalism, and trespass at the vacant bank structure located at 75 River St.;

Lorenzo Park on December 8th;
(c) the new 7 PM to 7 AM curfew instituted at the Courthouse;
(d) the practice of maintaining law and order by arresting activists with Occupy Santa Cruz, for violating the law regarding trespass and lodging;
(e) the city lawsuits and legal actions against Occupy Santa Cruz to end their lawless and disruptive assembly;
(f) the City and County governments for their investment in industry and financial institutions;
(g) the City and County governments for their support of the free market system;

And Curious Colbykook is now on Indycrap spewing BJ-style drivel about the SCPD.

Sponging off of the taxpayer, and complaining about the public servants who actually work for their paychecks, at great personal risk and sacrifice.

Thanks, DBS. It's obvious though that no one at Indycrap has actually read MY petition. They probably took a cursory glance at it and took it to be just another one of the many other BS petitions supporting the socialist, anti-establishment agendas of OSC and HUFF.

Daily Horoscope for June 2

Pisces

Having to bow down to convention or limitations is enough to make you want to scream right now, and you'll do your utmost to rebel in any way you can. Be careful about this because you could easily get on the wrong side of someone who has power or authority over you. It feels as though you're battling with forces that want to keep you under control, and you don't like it one bit.
