Okay, fine. So it's true. That means someone somewhere in the US has been caught doing it so there shouldn't be any problem with you posting a source, and when you do, I'll apologize.

Even better post a source showing how prevalent the problem is on top of a few sources of specific cases.

I'll be waiting...probably for quite a while or maybe even forever I would guess.

You got that right! Not long ago two judges from PA were thrown off the bench. It appears they were accepting kick-backs for sending kids to a particular juvenile detention center. A lot of the kids were sent there for the most minor of offences. I believe they're still trying to sort all sh!t out. I don't remember all the details but, it was some nasty scandal. And that's a drop in the bucket, I'm afraid...the opposing lawyers playing golf together, going out to lunch on their clients dime, getting drunk together over a game of cards on a Saturday night and the judges are the same, back-room deals with the lawyers, sentencing folks for sh!t they do themselves and on and on and on...I have to laugh when people use the term "justice system", there is no JUSTICE system, there is only a LEGAL system. Thanks for letting me vent :)

Oh sh!t, here we go again. Please Blue, if you don't believe him/her do your own research. I seem to recall reading about human trafficking in this country -kids and young girls mostly. I don't remember if they were sending them to Arab countries or not, it was overseas somewhere. Don't ask me for sources either because I don't remember anymore. And you can bank on this, anything sick or depraved that a human can conceive of, someone in this country has done it, just saying...

Interpretation: "It never really happened. I mean I can take the time to write out this whole paragraph but I'm not interested or motivated enough to do a simple google search and copy the link and post it...obviously it never really happened. I'm just hoping you're a sucker."

What about a court that would give a Christian child to a Hindu parent?...the bible talks about the sin of unbelievers and unbelief hundreds of times and only talks about homosexuality 5 or 6 times. If you're another religion than Christian in the US and a parent are you forfeiting your rights automatically?
Use some common sense, VQ. You're smarter than this.
There is no comparison between a Christian woman who CREATES a child WITH a Hindu male, and a lesbian whose only stake in the whole situation is that she signed a contract.

There you have it -- Women always want to reserve the right to change their mind, about ANYTHING. Well, some women, anyway. The concept of Integrity -- honoring one's Word as One's Self, is foreign to many: men and women, and obviously politicians.

I am amused when there is an issue of someone not honoring their Word, and what is debated is whether they actually need to, or not. Imagine the different world we would live in, if every time someone gave their Word, we could count on it -- "take it to the bank," so to speak.

This birth mom simply needs to Honor her Word with respect to her ex-partner and child. She is free to attempt to renegotiate, but going into hiding is NOT renegotiating, it is simply flouting her own Word, and the law.

That's insane. They were a couple legally raising the child together for years. You don't get that? Are you heartless? Seriously, VQ, this is harmful for the child and for the mother that is denied seeing her child. You really don't see that?

Hahaha...I am at times just that! Besides, I forget why that is relevant to this discussion and too lazy to go back and re-read the posts so I don't feel the particular need to research it either.

Seriously, VQ, you called me out the other day because I insulted the looks of some guys wife. I agreed that was low and uncalled for. But hell, what are you doing here?

A woman enters into a relationship that's supposed to be for life. They have a child together. The woman's loving the kid, taking care of it, changing diapers, being a mother...

...then one day all of a sudden "You can't see our child any more because you're a lesbian."

AND FOR GOD'S SAKES, IT'S NOT LIKE SHE JUST SUDDENLY FOUND OUT THROUGH SOME PRIVATE DETECTIVE THAT SHE HIRED THAT THE OTHER MOTHER WAS A LESBIAN SHE KNEW THIS ALL ALONG!!!

So pain for the child, pain for the mother, and needlessly for both because they could just do what's normal and humane and to be expected and have joint custody.

But VQ would rather cause 2 out of 3 parties life-changing, traumatizing, debilitating pain and then tell me that insulting the looks of a guy's wife is beneath me.

I don't get it.

Good, then just don't post next time. If I were too lazy to post sources when people asked for them, I wouldn't be on here.

Oh really, what if the Hindu Male insists that the child be a Hindu, which obviously means according to your bible that he or she will perish in hell for all eternity?

Unjust laws were made to be broken. I wonder how many gays in this forum would become celibate if homosexuality was criminalized. Anybody??

Yet I would guess the lesbian mother isn't suggesting that their child must be a lesbian...that would be an insane stance for a homosexual person.

A child can only have one mother. As for whether this child is "harmed"...only the child can speak on that matter.

I don't get it.
A woman with a child gets into a relationship with a guy who is not the child's father. Both the woman and her new guy are drug addicts. The drug addict boyfriend comes to see this child as being his child. The relationship eventually ends. The woman gets clean. The ex boyfriend is still an addict. What right does he to still have to be a part of that childs life and what moral court would really take away that womans child and give it to the drug addict ex who isn't even a biological father on the grounds that the drug addict ex has formed a bond with the child and the mother won't let him see said child?

Before, you get offended, no I am not trying to say being a lesbian is the sme as being a drug addict. But in the eyes of an evangelical Christian, it is. This is exactly what happens when our
society allows a biological parent to sign a "contract" sharing parental rights with an outside party. We have butchered the traditional American family to the point where mush is the result.

The laws should be altered so that in a situation like this the biological parent has the final say. Had a law like this been in place, at least the lesbian who is now trying to impose on the Christian mother and her child would have known what she was getting into, and this would never have happened.

We don't live in a theocracy so that would be his right as the biological father. That is another debate - whether a Christian should marry someone of another religion.

Daily Horoscope for June 2

Pisces

Having to bow down to convention or limitations is enough to make you want to scream right now, and you'll do your utmost to rebel in any way you can. Be careful about this because you could easily get on the wrong side of someone who has power or authority over you. It feels as though you're battling with forces that want to keep you under control, and you don't like it one bit.
