Thanks goes to the Congress for their failure to make good decisions for the USA.

Think its bad now, just wait until we get a Democratic in the White House and they run Congress too!

Not to argue that either party is particularly good at protecting American jobs - but:

What do you want Congress to do?

If they pass high tariffs, the libertarian and corporate wings of the Republican party will scream bloody murder about how the government is interfering with Free Markets™.

Furthermore, if the US becomes more protectionist - China could retaliate by dumping our currency on the open market. Then you'd see some real problems.

Should we find some leaders that could care less who screams what! Someone who will stand for the best interest of our nation! Dems. and Reps. have ruined us!! Who cares enough to try and get us back on our feet? Carl Mumpower is one, but he wont be able to get much done by himself! THis mess is all political!

Carl may be just one, but its a start. You have to start somewhere then build. If Carl was to win the election, Don't you think the rest of the country would take notice. The politico's would change or be removed. Its time for a revolution. Get the bums out. That goes for both parties.

It is so typical...those who don't know the facts are the first to jump to conclusions and blame the US government. Let's get to the bottom line here. The problems with HASCO are directly related to 2 issues. One is the rising cost of oil. Transportation of goods manufactured at HASCO ate away at the bottom line. Any way you slice and dice it, the increase in fuel costs had a dramatic impact, and number Two and most importantly - is the poorly directly management staff at HASCO. It is an inherently corrupt privately held German company that has failed in many countries. HASCO's failure in China in 2003, was a benchmark for this failure. This was the second venture into the American market in 30 years and wouldn't have lasted as long as it did without government incentives. I can assure you, there were many and they would have closed the doors earlier without the incentives. It was a farce...ask anyone who works/worked there!!!

I appreciate your insight into this particular plant closing, but there again, the rising price of oil IS a government issue! We are called the greatest nation on earth, but we can't even use our own resourses because of political bullcrap!
My husband worked at Square D for 30 years and had it not been for NAFTA, they would still be running. Like it or not, government has its thumb pressed in every corner of this mess. You're right also that it is "so typical" The truth is the truth!

Deregulation, "The New World Order" concept, removing of tariffs and related protective statutes, then Reagan's American Free Trade agreement, Daddy Bush's NAFTA agreement (he negotiated it and signed it in Dec 92), Reagan's union busting all have led to the current situation! Plus, Reagan pardoned over 3 million illegals in 86, opening the door to all their relatives and friends. The republicans have sold out the USA and try to blame it on the Democrats but it belongs to them!

CLINTON signed NAFTA INTO LAW......you are always wrong on this one.

Please correct yourself.

You know how I demand the truth

In three separate ceremonies in the three capitals on Dec. 17, 1992, President Bush, Mexican President Salinas, and Canadian Prime Minister Mulroney signed the historic North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA). The framework agreement proposed to eliminate restrictions on the flow of goods, services, and investment in North America.

The House of Representatives approved NAFTA, by a vote of 234 to 200 on November 17, 1993, and the Senate voted 60 to 38 for approval on November 20. It was signed into law by President Clinton on December 8, 1993, and took effect on January 1, 1994.

The New World Order and the idea of NAFTA was originated by Carter.
NAFTA was championed and signed into law by Clinton who considered it his gratest achievement.
Carter opened the gates by welcoming the Cubans and putting them on SS, although no President since has taken a hard line on criminal migration.

All this has been shown to you over and over but like any fanatic, you refuse to change the topic and certainly not your mind.
