Silver City Walmart NOT closing!!!

For the past year there have been rumors going around silver city saying that the local Walmart supercenter will be temporarily closing for more than a month, or that it will be permanatly closing and Target or KMart will be taking its place...That is most definatly NOT the case! SC Walmart will continue to remain open and operarte on a regular schedule HOWEVER it has been confirmed Silver City's Walmart will be re-modeling in May, 2010. It will resemble the newly (re-modeled)Walmart in Deming, NM. Silver City's Walmart will remain open during the remodeling and renovations that will be made.

This was mentioned in the Sun-News and the Deming Headlight several weeks ago.

do they do random drug testing or just one when a person is hired?

I've heard the rumors. I've also heard that 3.2 million walked out the door. They could close at night to stock as they are the most under stocked store I've ever been in. I'm getting tired of having to show my recipt everytime I leave the store. I believe most of the losses are from within. Better in-house security is in order.

and Demings Headlight expired because i was unable to locate them, however i was able to locate this article on Silver Citys Destert Exposure

At news of the Deming Walmart renovation, the Silver City rumor mill promptly kicked into high gear, saying that Silver City's Big Box on Hwy. 180 would shut down by the end of this year, or that it would be replaced by KMart or Target, consolidating local operations into Deming. No way, says Silver City Walmart manager Johnny Williams. Though Williams says he, too, has heard the rumor, Deming's remodel is routine and the Silver City store soon will get its own remodel in late April or early May 2010 to bring it up to the new Walmart appearance and shopability standards. "Las Cruces has had their Walmart remodled, now it's Deming's turn, and they're slowly working their way up to us," Williams says

Finally someone who knows thanks..isn't it a hazaard to have people shopping around all that construction and renovation? Guess they'll cordon off work areas at a time. Sounds noisy already
