Gay Marriage or Civil Unions

I'm in agreement with Beauty Queen Prejeans sister, a second lieutenant in the Air Force, on Civil Unions for Gays and Lesbians !

I disagree. That's like saying Negroes should have separate but equal education.

I agree with the several state supreme courts that have already ruled that gay people cannot be denied full equality with all citizens.

Civil unions is merely a way to pacify the kind of homophobic people that express themselves so freely on this forum. These people will eventually fade back into the woodwork, just as racists during the Civil Rights era finally had to concede equality to the people they hate.

My own personal preference would be to make the only legal marriage a civil union. Delusional religionists can perform whatever rituals they want, but preachers should have no authority to bestow legality upon anything.

I'm in agreement with Miss California's Carrie Prejean. " Marriage is between a man and a woman." Even though Carrie's sister is a second lieutenant in the Air Force, on Civil Unions for Gays and Lesbians, she should not be considered she is not revilant.

Gays and Lesbians should not be viewed as equal or normal homosexuals cannot reproduce: even in earlier cultures not being able to reproduce was a reproach that invited scorn. Gays are not equal, never were, and never will be.

I was under the impression the homosexual agenda was to obtain acceptance. But with the likes of goose-stepping fascist gay fundamentalism on the up swing, the silent majority must retreat in order to examine the doctrine or system of morality. Are we in agreement with the standards of right and proper conduct?
History proves ramped homosexuality was at its peak during the fall of the Roman Empire. Is homosexuality an oracle of where we’re headed? Angry intolerant Nazi like gays bring into focus the decay of society. Homosexual’s lash out at society with threatening scornful accusations of homophobia. But what does it mean to be homophobic? Merely that you are being suffocated into accepting a life style that has been frowned upon for generations.
One can only admire a homosexual’s quest for gaining acceptance as they loudly lobby for inclusion, but they are causing the silent majority on “Gay Issues” to become homophobic and reasonably so.

Homosexuality is a deception; it’s a mental unnatural disorder. In most cases homosexuality is spawned out of abuse and is later treated, thus explaining why large numbers of gays proclaim it as a horrific addiction. It’s not enough to be gay. Gays have to display their abnormalities through a fundamental revival like, goose-stepping gay parades. They flaunt their lewdness illustrating they suffer emotionally and mentally. Is a man skipping in the street wearing pink panties, a pink bra, purple hair, lipstick, earrings, makeup, and high heels, while grabbing his crotch a choice? Is it a behavior? That is for the spectator to ponder but should we teach our children these reveling buffoons were born this way?

This is pocket change when compared with the drain of taxpayer funds that go to law makers as they as they fumble around with “Gay Rights” Gay Marriage” and “Civil Unions.” If same-sex marriages have indeed pumped over $111 million into the Massachusetts economy it’s a small bribe that should be refused. Gays are not equal and gays marring gays does not make them equal.

So this is a defect in heterosexual biological reproduction? Good point Steve! Maybe since gays are born that way, researchers with early detection can delete this malfunction and abort the mistakes! Now that’s something to ponder?

Ben, I realize you won't speak to me directly, but what do you make of the Iowa state legislature passing a bill legalizing and recognizing same-sex marriages. The Iowa Supreme Court also ruled that "there was no important governmental interest in denying citizens marriage licenses based on their sexual orientation."

How do you reconcile Iowans sense of fairness and decency with your own attitude? Do you know of any Texas governmental interest that is served by denying people marriage licenses based on their sexual orientation?

This is certainly a potential moral dilemma for abortion foes and gay haters. Do you hate gay people more than you loathe abortion? This will require some prayerful guidance.

Hopefully with early detection gay and lesbian fetuses can be detected and aborted thus relieving the shame and unbearable grief heterosexual parents face thus removing the biological malfunctions from society.

I am all for this. Marriage is nothing but a legal arrangement in these days and times. Say my wife passes away. I get life insurance to help pay for the cost of her services. Say a gay man's partner passes away.. he gets NOTHING due to legalese and loopholes. It's only right that partners for life, gay or straight, should be entitled to the same LEGAL privileges.

The morality issue is a whole different story and I cannot state with voracity that my values represent the 'common' values so I will stay quiet on that particular issue.

Like the great Doug Stanhope once said:

"If marriage didn't exist, would you invent it? Would you go "Baby, this s**t we got together, it's so good we gotta get the government in on this s**t. We can't just share this commitment 'tweenst us. We need judges and lawyers involved in this s**t, baby. It's hot!"

I think it would be better for everyone if homosexuals all lived on their own island or maybe in the Arctic so the cold would kill the viruses they carry. They could have their own government and their own laws. Since they can't reproduce, they would eventually die out. In fact, this would also be a good idea for mexicans since they're breeding faster than rabbits and infesting every corner of the globe. Isolation is the key.
