Moreno Valley: School trustee's wife facing deportation

The real person who broke this story was mvgordie, he also did MOST of the legal research for Mike Rios and fielded more than 50 phone calls from Mr. Rios in a three day period, one of which was a conference call between Mike Rios, Dora Landaverde-Torres' then attorney, and mvgordie.

Also mvgordie provided numerous legal cases and supporting documents to Mr. Rios, and Dora's then attorney of record Mihail Kantchev, as well as an newly hired attorney who was said to be a criminal defense attorney hired by Mr. Rios, known only by his email address.

A school board member knowingly harboring a felon for 15 years, and now he is serving on our school board.

Why?

This guy is a putz...he's a school board member who makes important decisions, while aiding and abetting an illegal with a prior felony drug conviction, and a deportation in the late 1990s. Did he think this would stay swept under the table? The parents in that school district should be up in arms, but will they be?

Deport the board member along with the wife.

Illegally immigrated, convicted of a felony, deported, illegally re-entered. And her deportation case is on hold? Why?

Agreed mvgordie....first, Lucas from PE is part of the problem, she is paid and told what to put in the paper by the Iddo circus. Second, people like me who follow your blog know that you were first on the scene with this, and its a slap in the face that Lucas and PE even gave Geller any credit. Geller is part of the Iddo circus crew as well. As for Mike, he needs to be voted off the school board, he is not upholding any professional standard(just like the rest of them) and needs to resign or vote off!!

Hell Yes! Explains why the family are advocates for protecting illegals during check points.The Public School System is just one more level of corrupt politicians.I would like to see them all replaced.Most of them are older than dirt and have spent their whole lives on the Board.

The PE will not publish anything or give the right people credit because LUCAS is part of the problem, she is part of the Iddo Beenzeevi traveling circus as well. This aggravated felon (per the INS) was the signatory and treasurer on Mike Rios for school board 2010.

Go to the MVUSD Board meeting on December 13th and ask him to step down.

Talk about fraud? Step down is putting it mildly!

The board member should be put in prison for harboring an illegal alien and/or encouraging an illegal alien to stay here. The illegal alien needs to be deported, as her original deportation order called.

Even a legal immigrant will be deported for a felony. This woman committed a felon AND ignored her deportation order. Anyone with a felony record should never be allowed to come here. We have enough homegrown felons. We don't need to import more from other countries. In general, felons aren't allowed here, but apparently this woman has a chance because she's married to the felon who harbored her.

Something else the Press Enterprise failed to mention. Ms. Landaverde-Torres or Rios whatever name she will use, some how has a social security number she uses as hers, and has been from the date it was issued in 1996 in the state of California up to the present time, but under what name?

She has purchased two homes and bought several vehicles, but how did she get them financed using a social security number which should have come back to a deported person.

If she was here illegally in the first place (and it sounds like she was) then she never had her own social security number. She either stole one or made one up and either way, that's a felony. One felony and even a legal resident alien is deportable. She should NEVER be allowed to come back here for ANY reason. If her scum*bag husband wants to be with her, let him move to her country with their kids. Good riddance. I'm sure they're teaching the kids to be good criminals/crooks/thieves/liars .

She came here legally at first, but attained her social security number while facing her aggravated felony charges for drug sales and distribution.

Once deported she came back one year later, and once again she was severed with an Notice to Appear Notice from INS, which she and Board Member Rios blew off.

The name she uses now is supposedly her married name of Dora Rios, however she is booked under the "true" name of Dora Landaverde-Torres, which draws into question the true marital status of Mike and Dora Rios. Also her homes (one lost in foreclosure)are deeded to Dora Rios, a single woman, as opposed to Dora Rios a married woman.

Mr. Rios himself has had several felony arrests without convictions, all for crimes which involve violence, as well as the use of a firearm, and threatening witnesses in a criminal investigation involving himself.

That investigation was into the sexual molestation of his 5 year old daughter from a previous marriage.

Mr. Rios lacks moral standing, and proper character to serve the people of Moreno Valley in any capacity, elected or otherwise, hell his true name isn't even Mike Luis Rios, it's Luis Miguel Rios, with a D.O.B. of April 1st, 1970 of all things.

Was Board member Rios behind the voter fraud which was committed by Maureen Warp, when she registered to vote outside her district into district number 3, and using the address of Mike Rios' to do it.

Or maybe she did so, so that Dora could use her name to vote for Mike.

In 2008 Mrs. Warp registered at Mr. Rios' Palm Shadows residence, while she lived on Kiwi Ct. with her husband, and not at the Palm Shadows home.

Interesting what a so called honest man would do for a vote.
