That is so untrue about Jason being in a white prison gang. His two roomates were mexicans!

When does walking away especially a distance of two blocks and two blocks back justify as a "heat of passion" crime. Come on now, you could do better than that one.

This case is far more complicated than the 10 sec. article speculation. Both men served hard time in prison and according to a Warden's testimony (who has over 35 years of experience working in CA state prisons) once convicted and sentenced to a state penitentiary they join a prison gang and it's not like you get a choice, you join a gang of your own race or be singled out and considered prey. No doubt Jason Robinson was affiliated with a white prison gang since he served hard time in Cochran State Prison. That prison is where inmates are sent to serve longer sentences and there are many lifers which have less to lose so they are more hostile and violent. You don't make it out of a prison like that unless you join a prison gang and hold your own. And if he really lived with two mexicans, this too would have surfaced during the trial because it would have helped the DA's case.

the fact that jasons hadtwo mexican roomates
it was brought up but it was shut down by the defense because it was considered "irrelevent" if you were in the court room you would know that the defense had no chance with this monster, did you happen to know that when your beloved jose was arrested he started rolling around in puddles like a pig and licking jasons blood off of his pants thinking that it would help him... thats a real "man" that you are defending in your comments on these articles online, that really does not say much about you or the size of your tiny brain, think about it

I ALSO AGREE WITH THE ATTORNEY. THESE CONVICTION THAT R BEING HANDED OUT TO THESE YOUNG GUYS ARE TO HARSH AND INSTEAD OF JUST THROWING THEM IN JAIL CELL WITH THESE CORRUPTED COPS IN THERE ARE NOT THE SOLUTION TO EVERYTHING. MAYBE IF THE SYSTEM WOULD OF HELPED THIS REPEATED CONVICT BY GETTING HIM SOME MENTAL HELP AND DRUG REHABILITATION THIS COULD OF SAVED SOMEONE ELSES LIFE.
I ONLY TALK FROM A PERSON WHO LOST A GOOD PERSON AND THE FATHER OF MY KID. HE IS ONLY 29 AND IS SERVING A LIFE SENTENCE PLUS FOR A THIRD STRIKE. HE ERNED HIS STRIKE BACK AS A JUVINELE FOR WHILE BEING STRUNG OUT ON DRUGS AND NEVER DID THE SYSTEM TRY TO HELP WITH THE REAL PROBLEM. THEN IT DOES NOT HELP WHEN YOU HAVE THESE COPS THAT ARE SO SCREWED UP THAT THE REALLY DISTROY OTHER PEOPLE'S LIFE TOO.

This blog seems to be a lot more objective than the ocregister. I did learn from a few bloggers that Robinson had Mexican roomates, whether it's true or not it still doesn't mean Robinson didn't belong to a white supremacist prison gang while serving out his time. These guys are much like our soldiers who go to war, they don't get any therapy or rehab after experiencing these incredibly harsh conditions, after killing and living a way of life that is so different from what is real to them prior. They have flashbacks and Sandoval commented that when he was attacked in the bar he felt like he was in prison again. Anyway you look at it both men had prison in common. Lynch obviously is too closely tied to the loss of Robinson to make any objective remarks and she continues to praise Robinson like he is some amazing great guy when in reality he too was a convict. She tries to sugar coat Robinson's prison gang affiliation but you can't igore that he's DEAD because of it. And from Sandoval's testimony, he seemed remorseful - and it's not like he's not going to prison for taking Robinson's life. Lynch is desperately trying to slant the story because of her feelings for the loss of Robinson which I understand but these types of cases need to be looked at objectively.

Jason had his problems but he was an awesome guy who did not go out looking for fights. He is not dead because of a prison gang affiliation. He is dead because that murderer couldn't walk away from a fight. There is no excuse or defense for murdering someone and if it were the other way around I'm sure his friends and family would feel the same way. What he did was WRONG! And he deserves to spend the rest of his life in prison.

Whatever happened that night with Jason and Elias was wrong period. Those where two mother's sons and both lives have been taken! It's very sad that violence is a part of our society, just look at whats in store for our children! I'm sure they were at one time two good men and only god knows what went wrong! I remember Elias riding skate boards and just hanging out with friends when he was a young boy with my brother and i'm not making excuses for what he did, I myself beleive it was wrong! But it's now in gods hands and to have so much hatred dosen't put anyone at peace! God bless both familes!!!

You would want to know that the cops and judges are gang members too and they sell coke and pot on the streets too. I been doing that for more than twenty four years and I got away with it and the only time that I was in jail is for stealing money out of a ladies pocketbook in a school five years ago. Jail was beutiful and good. It was a motel like Martha Stewert and I masturbated every night. That is proof that it was good.

Contraire Hawaiian, he still has an opportunity to appeal since the Judge did not allow Imperfect Self Defense on the ballot. His verdict can drop to Voluntary Manslaughter or Imperfect Self Defense which would not give him a life sentence.
