I live in Sanford. We are not heartless or uncaring. What no one understands that doesn't live here though is that the majority of the homeless here are drug addicts, drunks, felons and people trying to disappear from the law.

They are not the people currently losing their homes and jobs due to the economy. They are thoughtless bums and thieves. I live in the historical district and not one day goes by that one of them will walk into my yard...interrupt me on the phone, or while I am reading a book, or having a visit with a friend on my front porch and try to bum money or a cigarette off of me.

I have a feeling that the majority of you do gooders that think we are all bad people here, would not tolerate this behavior in your nice suburban neighborhood in Longwood or wherever.

Because there are multiple mental health facilities up here that release unstable people here daily....we get to contend with them as well.

The business owners here have to shoo these people away from paying guests tables if they have outdoor seating.

It is out of control here and all the rest of you that don't live here can do is point fingers.

We have a lovely little town here and yes we continue to deal with the vagrants and panhandlers, thieves and bums and street drunks. I personally wouldn't live anywhere else, but I don't appreciate having fingers pointed at me as if I am a bad person or that we as a town are bad people.

All Linda Kuhn has ever been concerned about is the historic district and the whims of its residents. Since she's been Mayor the City has stopped maintaining City owned alleys everywhere but the historic district. The crews that used to care for the whole City have been diverted to downtown only. They will pick up any trash thrown into a historic district alley but no where else.
It's time we got a Mayor who acts like Sanford is more than a 13 block district.

I'm sure Longwood was tickled pink. Do it on the steps of the State House. Perhaps some worthless politicians will join in the food line as well. Yeah! Right.

Sanford residents - vote no on both city charter questions. One of them will allow the bastards to stay in for an extended term. We don't need these yuks in office. Vote NO and then vote Linda Kuhn back on to the streets.

You better watch what you say, Linda will sic the "CODE POLICE" on you. I myself have been a victim of that enforcement many times, one of the code enforcement employees advised me "I have specifically been told to find violations at your house and several others". I am thinking of bringing legal action against the City and forcing this employee to testify.

Do you have any idea how Linda Kuhn was elected in the first place? The only place where she carried a majority was in the black community, she got those votes by giving away BBQ sandwiches and then giving those black people a ride in a Hummer to the polls. She also made a lot of promises to Velma Hunter for improvements to the black community and has defaulted on almost all of them. Lets just say that those people bought four years of neglect for the price of a sandwich and a ride in a hummer

The problem is that Velma Williams is as dumb as a bowl of catfood. I find it amusing that Kuhn can walk all over her and the lady will emit a nothing more than a big duh. You should go to the City Commission and see it for yourself.

Velma Williams is a lousy representative of her constituents. The need to send her out on a skateboard. Of course, the stupid voters of Sanford just voted an extra 20 months for these morons, so, we will all age another 5 years before these idiots are out.

By the way, City Commissioner Bridges and Linda Kuhn- KMA!
