Hi

I am desperately looking for a movie that has been inspired from the tragic story of 5 years old Ursula Sunshine Assaid. This Altamonte Springs little girl has been murdered by her mother's boyfriend on the night of September 25th 1982 who then dumped her body in a pond with the help of the girl's mother! The case gained nationwide attention and there has been a movie that aired in Florida in 1993 about Ursula's life.

I did not find any details about this film whatsoever so can you please help me get more information? maybe you have access to the Florida's TV archives and can track this movie.

I don't even know its title!

I have never heard of the movie, but I do have the book that was written about Ursula. It's called Death From Child Abuse, and No one heard, or something like that. I will see what I can find out about a movie, as I am very interested in seeing it myself. I actually lived in an apartment across from the pond where her body was found. It was very sad, to say the least, what this innocent child went through before she died. I've also been extremely angry at the teachers and neighbors who did absolutely nothing to help this child. The teachers especially, as they are trained to look for these types of abuse. Her teachers were even sent notes that she was not to eat or drink anything while at school. This to me was a red flag that someone should have seen. If I can find any info I will post back to you.

Hi thanks for your feedbacks, well indeed it's the adult's responsability to protect and look after children but clearly this is not always the case! I could not get the book neither so if anyone can help me get even a scanned copy or a photocopy it will be great! regarding the movie it's amazing how no one could find any clue about it, it couldn't have went into thin air after all! I am sure there is a movie and many people told me it was aired in Florida in 1993. It's very difficult to locate a movie when you don't even have a title, year of release ... thanks a LOT for your help on this maybe someone who watched the movie will come back to us with more details.

Hey, there is NO movie just a book, if there was a movie, an traces of it have been removed from the world. I've search near and far for this movie nd there is none.. Only the book..
