we as women sometimes go through abuse and spend many years living that way untill one day we cant take it no more and in Rhondas case she probly made a bad choice i have known rhonda for quite some time and she is a loving person always attentive to others and a good friend she is not a bad mother she loves her children and the pepole around her . untill we dont know what really happend we cant asume anything this is to u rhonda i love u and i will help u in anyway i can be strong my sister help is on the way

I met Rhonda in March 2007 when my daughter began working at the establishment where Rhonda was a shift manager. Rhonda took a personal interest in my daughter. She called me when my daughter did not report to work on time and she also made sure that my child was being picked up by me or had my permission to leave work with other people. Rhonda would personally walk my daughter to the parking lot, or stay with her until I arrived which was generally after 11 p.m. If my daughter was late or called in, Rhonda immediately notified me. I never asked Rhonda to police my child, but I do appreciate what she did. I believe that Rhonda cares very much for the welfare of children and refuse to judge her. I believe in innocent until proven guilty.

I'm reading the comments by neighbors and fellow workers who knew this woman. Yes I'm sure she did some decent things in her life. There's no rule that says horrible people don't do decent things too. Bottom line is she tried to feed her child to the lions in an attempt to save her own neck. No matter what else you tell me about her it doesn't change this fact or the resulting conclusion of how terrible a person this "mother" is.

Well said. Murder, lying in court, cheating, lies to gain custody and a million other lies told in a divorce case...all excused if you are a woman. All punished to the fullest extent of the law if you are male, even if there is no evidence but the word of the woman accusing him and gaining from his conviction.

Why are these men so angry? What is their problem? Is there anything we can do to help them before they get to a breaking point? How do we spot them in advance of their inevitable meltdowns?
C'mon, fellas. You are always so willing to try and control women - our choices, our bodies, our sex lives, and our morality. How about you step up and try to figure out how to control the vicious and insane behavior of members of your own gender? Try to LISTEN, there are always two sides to a story and all we have heard is 1 side and how this woman is a terrible "mother". We still do not know the truth of the circumstances. EVERYONE is innocent until proven guilty. I am almost positive that there is a long history of abuse in this women’s life more than likely dating back to her child hood. & as for her Neighbors. You are all just looking from the out side in. You didn’t live with these people all you saw was a smoke screen. & by the way most BATTERERS are Dr. Jekyll, Mr. Hyde. Smooth and sweet to the outside world But only GOD knows the truth & the truth will soon prevail. I truly feel sorry for the son and the rest of the family who must be going thru extreme pain. I don't get it. The mom? sounds so sweet. I mean, she stabbed and murdered her husband (instead of leaving him and having to support herself), blames her son so he can spend the rest of his life in jail. Kind of lets you know how sweet the neighbors are that like her.

Well In reply to this. I do know all of them. I've known them for 7 years. I know that deshane did not kill that man. He loved that man as if it was his own father. I was over there all the time. The mother didn't do squat. The father worked his behind off to provide for all of those kids. So I do know the family and the facts.

I knew Shane personally. Even if he did kill his step father, it was to protect his mom. While we was together, I've always heard bad things about his step dad. She used to always defend her husband over deshane, but I guess this time he went to far in whatever he did. I feel sorry for the whole family. Those poor kids have no mother or father.

all of th is is a bunch of garbage. Alot of you never met the family. Everyone is affected by this.Including Rhonda. But noone else will try to understand because they don't know the circumstaces behind the crime. If you didn't know the family and the issues the family faced together, you shouldn't judge. I loved the family and I truly loved deshane. He would leave before getting that upset. Unless it was to defend his mother although she didn't really defend him. But oh well. What's done is done. As long as they know my chilhood love didn't do it.

im not shure who wrote this but i think i have and idea... and u r totaly and completely correct. everet was a terrific man. i miss him dearly. i will never forget the times when everet took me, my sister, and all the other neighbor hood kids to fly the hellicopters. i will always remember him in my heart.

the kids are with their uncle and aunt. these people kept shane when rhonda wouldnt. the last time i saw them they seemed very happy. in my opinion they're with a better family. they are away from the drugs and violense.

this is a very sexist comment... im not taking sides for rhonda i truley believe that she did it. but some women are victims of abuse. i dont believe that they should kill someone if they are vivtems of abuse. they should just get away. if they cant u still shoulent kill someone. u can find help if u r out some day at the store or at work. u can get away from abuse. rhonda wasnt a victem of abuse. my point is u should not go around making these comments not all women are lie about abuse.!.

I know that Deshane wouldn't do anything to jeopardize his life. The only way I can see Deshane doing something like that is if it was to defend his mother. He would never intentionally hurt anybody, but when it came down to his family, It was whatever. I knew Deshane personally and knew what he stood for. He was my best friend. We lost contact. I would like to contact him again. There's so much that we have to talk about.
