The article states "He was arrested the day after the slaying, based largely on his mother's account." And then goes on to say "Long before deputies arrested DeShane Sands, though, they had information that Rhonda Sands was the killer." A little inconsistant?

A mothers love. Ahhh how it warms the heart. I wonder if Hallmark makes a card for this.

That's a sad case why would a mother have her young son locked up for her wrong doing she needs to sit there!!! that's just sad....!!

Come on everyone, all she has to do is cry that SHE was abused mentally, physically, emotionally, sexually or whatever else her lawyer will come up with.
She's a woman, SHE will probably get probation. Remember, SHE's the real "victim" here, not the dead, stabbed murdered "MAN".
Now, if Deshane was wrongly convicted, the state would be ready to hook up the IV to HIS arm!

The son already had an arrest warrant for VOP.

she better not plead 'abuse'; that man was so good to her and her children! if any abuse occured, it was she that used and abused him - maybe not physically but definitely emotionally and verbally; she is mean!

A murderer and try's to frame her son. That is one sick devil.

It should be against the law to have kids without any intention of being a parent to them. Look at the drugs, crime, & low school graduation rates.

dont you wish there was some kind of test that could be done to determine if you shouls be allowed to have kids or not? Parents arent perfect butsome of these headlines lately just blow my mind how can anyone let alone a parent treat another human being so poorly

I have to completely agree with this comment. I know the family for several years…. Unfortunately, she and her dead husband had a LONG... history of domestic disputes and violence. He even placed an order of protection against her at which she was arrested for because she didn’t want to abide by it. Both of them have lived in and out of jail, so sadly to say that this will be one of those cases where one of them just had enough... Sad to say because he was in a way a good guy and the kids are now with no one. VERY SAD!!!

She always manipulated shane, I wonder whats going to happen to her younger kids I mean the little girl may not understand but the little boy damn sure will, knowing that his mother killed his father is definitely going to leave a scar. Shane is a very strong person so I know that he'll get through this.
