Methadone is by far the longest-term w/d of all opiates, however, it may not necessarily be as intense... In comparison to a H w/d which is quite intense and lasts only three or four days... Ur lookin at a week or two

i disagree. i was on 70mg a day of methadone for years and am now clean for 3 years. The secret is to taper slowly of it. Trust me it works

I just wanted to toss my two cents in here, I quick Methadone, cold turkey at 90mg a day last year. I decided that I didn't want to prolong my withdrawal with a taper and just stop. I will say, it was horrible, but it was something I was very very dedicated to doing. The first 8 days I didn't sleep for two minutes. I thought I would die from sleep deprivation and hunger, as I couldn't eat or barely drink, but by day 21 (which seems long if you are just now beginning your withdrawal, but will totally be worth it in the end) I was a new girl!! I got my first nights rest on withdrawal day 9, symptoms began slowly subsiding from there. By day 21 I felt like a person again, although not 100%, I would say at least a good 75%!!! By day 30, all withdrawal was gone, and I was and am officially drug free. Have now been clean and sober for 1 year and 10 days! You can do it, just DO NOT give up.

hey bro methadone is a bitch I was on 80mgs a day and I had been on it for 6yrs worst drug of choice but anyways I have been off now for 24 days now and everyone is right the first 2 weeks was hell didn't sleep no appetite and puking all the time I will be honest if you can get a like to zany bars a day the help you sleep and take away the twitches in your legs and arms if it wasn't for those I probably would have relapsed I dont feel 100 percent better but I feel about 75 percent better and it will get even better but if you can get past the first two weeks you have it whooped and not to force other drugs onto you but zanax will help you sleep take away the anxiety and the twitches well good luck you can do it hang in there and marijuana helps great for the nausea and to help eat and sleep too.Well hang in there once you get passed the first two weeks you got the control over it.Good Luck

I cant stand this bullshit 25 days and I still feel like shit it's hard to take and get up to take the trash out. He'll I haven't even been able to work and my boss is my landlord and I owe 2,500 in back rent cause I have no motivation to do shit now I know why people commit or think of suicide I think they should ban methadone format. the shelve when do you feel completely normal once again I hear war stories of it even lasting months what the fuck I thought I was good to go at 25 days fooled me I guess that's what I get for being on 80mgs a day I should have took my vitiams like my mommy said instead of methadone have to stay strong good luck to all it's no fucking walk in the park that's for sure and don't be scared about it turn and face I

Just do it live goes on 80mgs to 0 it's not easy but life is a challenge choice and a decision everyday Xanax and support is a plus marijuana is a god blessing good luck ! You can go on we all can !

I've been on and off methadone for 3 years now , I had my last 9ml on Sunday morning , it's now Wednesday and feel like s**t no sleep whatsoever , how long does a rattle last of 9ml , anyone know ???

How old when you did this and how long were you on I AM 56 BEEN THROUGH 3WEEK DTOX AND I AM DYING STILL P.S. I HA D 11 YRS CLN DONT RELAPSE

I took my last 5mg Thursday how long will it take me to get done withdrawing after a month of taking it

im on 30mg morphine 3Xdaily because i have a collapsed disc in my back... ive been taking this since 2009.. i am a 50 year old female. i will not take methadone for a way out of morphine.. i am wondering if the withdrwl from morphine is any easier than from methadone.

Been on methadone 27 years been withdrawing last 4 years. Got down to 10 mls and got really sick. Vomiting diarrhea etc. This has been going on for 18 mths now. 5 doctors and numerous tests and they still can't find anything. Anyone know anything about long term methadone consequences

Just found out that my body has not been ravaged by long time methadone program I have multiple gall stones. I feel Luke an idiot bur the symptoms were so similar

ive been on pain pills for seven yrs...im not wanting to cold turkey it can anyone tell me about using methadone for detox? I been told it would help with the withdrawal...im not sure as ive been reading the stories about methadone...do u have to take it for a long time or can u take it for a few days and stop?...plz someone help im sick of taken and spending money on them thanx
