Cops: S.C. man caught with handgun in car

A South Carolina man was arrested Sunday night in Uniondale after plainclothes police officers saw him take a handgun from his waistband and hide it under the seat of a parked car, police said.

Cops go boat-to-boat on the water making "safety checks". Maybe that level of scrutiny should be applied in Hempstead. Maybe the cops could go car-to-car making safety checks? Seems to me that I'm a lot safer if these thugs are disarmed.... but I really don't care is a boater's flares are past their experation date!
How about the police do something that really makes the county safer?

Morelikely he's trying to avoid making child support payments to 3 or 4 kids and an equal number of women.

WHILE I'M GLAD HE LOST HIS GANG BANG SPECIAL......DID THE POLICE HAVE HIS PERMISSION TO SEARCH HIS CAR????...OR IS THIS A B.S. STORY SO THEY COULD JUST SEARCH IT WITHOUT PERMISSION??

Since you have to be a NY resident to possess a firearm permit in NYS, and NYS doesn't recognize permits from other states, or unless he's covered by the federal law enforcement carry law, he did not have a permit to carry in NYS.
