Thanks for the clarification, danny boy.
According to you, both Obama and Biden--for going out of their way to avoid military service--are merely chicken and not chickenhawks.
It's surprising to see you speaking more honestly.
I don't believe they are chickens and I didn't say anything of the kind.

What I DID say was that YOU could say that and be using the term accurately. Not that you'd be correct - just that it would be an accurate use of the word, whereas calling them chickenhawks is NOT an accurate use of that word.

Can you comprehend the distinction? Is the difference now clear enough that you can understand it?

The point that the echo-poster is making is that, while many rightwingers are gung-ho to send other people's kids off to war, they themselves avoided service and prevent their own kids from serving.

The issue is the hypocrisy, not the lack of service.

BTW - you're welcome for the clarification. But somehow I still don't expect that you'll get it.

Breaking news:

The spending plan would put the nation's annual deficit above $1 trillion for the fourth straight year. Meanwhile, it promises to put the country on a path to reduce overall federal debt by $3 billion within a decade.

The plan gives campaign fodder to Republican presidential opponents because it concedes that Mr. Obama won't be able to deliver on his a promise he made early in his term in office, when he said that by the end of his first term he would halve the $1.3 trillion deficit he inherited.

Ron Paul will take a REAL Trillion out year one, why can't any of these other assclowns do it?

If you were paying attention you'd notice that is what I say to trolls who post under my name. I make no effort to read, much less respond to, whatever horseshit they happen to post while using my name.

If it appears to be a favorite to you, that only speaks to how often shithead trolls post under my name.

So, are you going to provide some any evidence to support your assertion that Obama spent $5 trillion in 3 years and the economy is worst? Any evidence at all?

Surely your term "Chickenhawk" more appropriately applies to the current military Commander in Chief.
President Obama never served in the military, did he. And his Vice-Presidential choice, Joe Biden, never served while enjoying five deferments from service during the 1960s.
You might be comforted in knowing that the third in line to lead our nation, Republican John Boehner, signed up for the Navy but was honorably discharged after eight weeks of training because of a bad back. Unlike Obama and Biden, Boehner at least tried to serve.
The current leadership is no standard bearer for military service. Your comments seem politically rather than patriotically inspired.
John McCain not only served, he was a POW for MANY years! If we want to discuss the children of politicians, don't forget Sarah Palin's son, not only did he serve, he went off to war in Iraq.

You will find more republicans have served over democrats. You'll also find that the military overwhelmingly supports the republicans!!

It seems that the left-wingers are the only ones in charge who have avoided service, making them both chickenhawks and chicken. Unlike Romney, Obama actually sent service members off to die.

Yes, agreed, it's hypocritical for the echo-poster to question a Republican's lack of military service when our military's Commander in Chief President Obama (Democrat) and our current Vice President Biden (Democrat) themselves failed to serve in the military while currently sending other people's kids off to war.

And if the above video isn't embarrassing enough, CPAC had two - TWO! white nationalists speak at their convention.
----------
Although much of the attention is on the main stage at each year’s Conservative Political Action Conference, it’s the side events where the real kookiness occurs. These events can give CPAC organizers and attendees a headache as they try to walk the line between accepting certain groups under the umbrella of the conservative movement, but also trying to make it clear they don’t want to associate themselves with some of those groups’ more questionable qualities.
Take for instance a session on the dangers of multiculturalism, that included participants from the website VDARE, which has been labeled as a white nationalist hate group by the Southern Poverty Law Center.
...
The host of the event was officially the group ProEnglish, and their executive director, Robert Vandervoort. CPAC opened itself up to criticism in giving him a platform as well, given that he “was also the organizer of the white nationalist group, Chicagoland Friends of American Renaissance” according to the Institute for Research on Education and Human Rights.
http://tpmmuckraker.talkingpointsmemo.com/201...
----------
If you aren't able to advocate for your political positions without getting white nationalists in to support you, maybe you should rethink some of your political positions.
Obviously hatred of minorities is a key plank in the GOP platform this election cycle. It's just a little stunning when they stop pretending.
Dan the man hates white people because he is a black racist! It's that simple and obvious.

People who have no sense of rhythm, can't sing, can't dance, and can't rhyme words have no business trying to rap in public (they think they're RAPPING for God's sake!).
I guess this is the kind of thing people with no sense of reality or shame do when they get together. LOL!
You have to be a negro to have rhythm. We all can't rap like you Danny. Dan's da man.

Run out of political BS to bash the republicans now you bash them about rhythm, can't sing, can't dance, and can't rhyme words. Looks like you're losing it quickly now. Hey, I use only white toilet paper, does that make me a racist in your mind?

It's the name I've chosen to post under, genius. Unlike so many others, I post under one name and one name only. Unlike so many others, I chose this name years ago and I've stuck with it.

In an online forum where everyone is anonymous, people with the courage to stand behind their words use just one name. It identifies who they are and allows others to hold them accountable for what they've said.

Cowards switch names when they start to get a little heat. Cowards change names to avoid taking responsibility for what they've posted in the past. Cowards change names to avoid taking the consequences of posting unpopular things.

There are only a few of us on the Chambersburg forum who have stuck with the names we've chosen.

And we're ALL liberals.

That says a little something about who has the courage of their convictions.

So, yeah, I protect MY name. Sorry if my integrity gets under your skin.

I can't find any report from a legitimate news source that Occupy San Diego left trash or damage.

I wonder why you won't post one?

BTW - NBC is an actual source of journalism. Fox is the propaganda arm of the Republican party. NBC is legitimate news; Fox is pretending to be news.

Daily Horoscope for June 2

Aries

It won't be long before you start to feel bored today, unless you can distract yourself - you're switching from one activity to another. Ideally, you should keep yourself amused by doing something that's unusual or challenging, otherwise you'll be tempted to stir up trouble just to see what happens next! Even though you know that's a bad idea, you won't be able to resist, unless you've got something better to do with your time.
