I own a 1961 Devin "D" Roadster with a 1776cc VW powerplant. I have owned this car for 25 years now and it has been in the same family since 1961. The Devin has been restord since 2004 and has yet to get a drop of water on it. The car will be displayed at the NHRA Pomona Museum end of January through April to promote the Handcrafted Automobile Association car show. I would consider parting with this car if the right $$$ amount was offered. This Devin has been in 5 different magazines, 2 of which were in Europe. If you would like to see a picture of it e-mail me at greekislandsurf@yahoo.com

Hello, I a, Looking for a Devin D car, doesn't need an engine, but like it as complete as possible. Anyone? What should I pay for it?

I'm looking for the Devin my father and I built in 1959 it was powered by a VW with a Judson Super Charger, push button starter on the left side. Strange steering wheel for it came from a WW2 German VW Komand Car. Flip gas cap on right front fender, '57 Chevy black rubber bumper stops front and rear. We sold it to my Uncle Butch Wallace in Luck, WI who sold it in 1971. I've been looking for it for sometime and found this web page. The rear trunk/ engine cover has a big half moom air intake the grill is from a '57 chevy. Thank any of you for any assistance.

Hi Thomas, I have a 1961 Devin D that I was thinking on selling but not sure yet. If you are still looking for one send me an e-mail at greekislandsurf@yahoo.com. I am in California and this Devin was built by Bill Devin in his shop in El Monte. This car has been in the same family since it left Bill Devins shop, and was restored in 2004. It has a 1776 cc vw motor, polished porsche cookie cutter wheels, leather interier and is very fast! |

I own a 1957 Devin-F model, built for a Triumph-Tr-2, 3 chassis. The previously titled owner bought the current SS hood from Bill Devin himself, in the early 90's when Bill gave him a tour of the factory property. I'm selling everything together or parting out the car. I will accept email requests for pictures and offers. Email me at: kbradyster@gmail.com

I am wondering how one tells what the body was designed to fit...example (Volkswagen, Corvair, and etc)?
I had an opportunity to buy one of these a few years ago and I'm sure it is still there in the weeds. It was rolling with 4 bolt wheels and a very very small (about 1 inch tubing) for a frame. It scared me. I don't think it ever had an engine. Owner reported it blew off a trailer in 1959 and he loaded into his yard and it's been there every since. One door was on and one door was off but there. Red primer maybe (could have been bare fiberglass). No headlights, or windshield or interior or steering. Left hand drive due to bubble behind drivers head. I'm still intriged by this thing.. Can anybody help identify it from the description? |

Devin D for Sale I've got an old Devin D I'd like to sell (1959 I think). It was in the weather many years so the donor will need replacing. I've got one lined up though. I'm not looking for a killing on this, but I've seen how much they can go for. I will send pics to anyone interested.Anyone interested call me in S.C.@ eight O three- three 9 7- 800 three. If I can't find anyone interested in it's current condition, I'll probably restore it, then sell it. Thanks, Kenny B. |
