If that is true, it isn't good news. Since when has anyone from another county done anything positive for Elliott County. Seems like all they want to do is keep it down.
The 4 board members need voted OUT.If it was up to them we would not have no type of sports in school.

If the teachers coaches are doing the correct job they have nothing to worry about..... The ones that will panic are the ones that should be let go

I have 2 children in basketball for grades K-6 this year and I was so glad not to see our normal sex offender there this year. What a relief. I hope he doesn't show up.

The basketball programs sucks because of coaching. The kids travel the country in AAU to get exposure and when they play what really matters they aren't developed, don't learn, aren't taught, accept loosing, etc. My son is in middle school and I see it as a waste of time to take my kid anywhere because he doesn't benefit from real guidance. When Kentucky hired John calipari we got instant success and winning because of coaching. When you keep a dud around like gillispie you get the NIT. No different, coaching is everything and they shape the kids future in sports. We are never going to win. Just hope that somebody with some knowledge will come back and help my kid. Hint I say come back. Fualkners twins or anybody that had college experience

Obvious who this is! Maybe you need to go talk to your coaches instead of being a girl and saying things behind
everyones back. Maybe its your kid that is the problem and you that won't keep your jealous nose out of everyone's business.....just a thought you may need to look at yourself. Go somewhere else, no one cares.

Can you say Eli? Always running his mouth about it. He wants the coaching job himself. Talk about smile to your face and bury the knife to your back. That's him. Ball less Eli.

He is a ball less fu*k stick. He is Einstein if you don't believe me just ask him. He knows everything about basketball and everyone else is stupid. He can get us to the state tournament again. He is so basketball smart that he could win with 4 on the floor against 5.

Eli would be the best coach Elliott County ever had. If you don't believe me ask him. He will tell you. Just sit by him at the games and listen to him critique every decision made and tell how he would it better. He needs to shut his mouth and move his ass to the bench. I won't sit in the same section he does because I don't want to hear Coach E and all of his genius. I sit across from him if possible so I can laugh at the comic show he puts on.

Eli helped draw the game plan against Grayson and look how close they came to beating them. Eli should be the coach on the bench not just in the stands.

Forgive me. I just scanned this thread and have become curious. My s-daughter will complete her student teaching this Spring. Though she earned 4 letters in HS hoops and and owns the school FT record, she did not play hoops in college. She concentrated on volleyball where she was a four year starter at the libero position. She had a good basketball IQ and played PG from grade school through 12th grade but wanted always to be SG -- not a good dream for a 5'3" kid. What do the EC coaching positions look like assistant, I am sure, but she could step right in in v'ball. Her Mom and I own land E. of Isonville. I believe she wants to come home to WYO to teach but imho she was born to coach

Poor Kids and Parents wrote:
I know! Why don't we all just wait on Obama to step in and take over the school system with his mighty hand of oranization and liberal, "Its ok to expect the government to give it to you," attitude? That'll do it!! Then the kids will go straight out of school and on welfare because they are, afterall, entitled to a life of benefits and goodies from those that actually do work for a living and make the real money.
Get real, I went to EC and played sports. I lived through this same BS back then. But, there was a difference in the case with my situation. My parents kicked my ass to school, made me stay there, and kicked my ass in and out of bed every single night. My parents also made me realize that you get jack-shit in this world for free unless you keep their mentality and internal drive your entire life.
Guess what kids...? I make over 100k a year because of their simple petty & rules that they forced me to live by. That's not a boast. That's what their loving demand turned me into.
You can blame the institution, its leaders, its developers, or its contributors with loud voices and deep pockets all you want. BUT, at the end of the day, it all boils down to how you run what goes on inside your front and back doors.
If you train a child to appreciate art, the child will grow to be a fine-art professor and potentially make the most beautiful pieces ever to be seen. If you teach a child that all the pictures they see are nothing, they will rip up the magazines, piss on the paintings and set there wondering why the canvas tastes funny as they smoke it.
Quit being such cry babies and raise your 'young-ins' the way this country was built. Whip their asses, stop accepting excuses from them, make them eat the green stuff, and for God's sake...Quit blaming everyone else because you didn't read them a book, teach them self & public respect, work with them on algebra, or take them to a science museum.
I fully agree, but this is an entitlement county and I don't think it will ever change in my lifetime.

. None of them are good coaches. Laughing stock of the district and region, just talk to people, they will tell you that they love to play Elliot run and gun offense while Elliot plays no defense.

Good reply Eli! Sounds just like you from the stands! When are you taking over?
