Having played in Bands for years with Bill and partied with Butch & the BOYZ of the Power Subtraite of Idaho you would be surprised at how things are prioitized. One of the ways you can tell if you are in or out in Idaho- YELLO & BLACK! Those are the subtle and yet secret colors for the Idaho Political Republicans who are have tried to cover-up just how Saki gained the power and ability to pressure individuals or groups with the mere threat from the Idaho Mafia. They will make you and offer that you can't understand.
Keep you eye out for the "Yellow & Black" it stands for "Chickens in the Dark!" |

Why are there any Californians even posting on this board?? This is the exact point of the discussion: this is a forum for those affected by the Californication of Idaho, i.e. IDAHOANS. Get a fucking life and quit reading the boards because "California" is included in the headline. If you are moving here or are a transplant here, fine. No one can do a fucking thing about it. However, you will never be apart of our community. Getting your wife fake tits, bleaching your hair, driving a Lexus, voting Obama (or any other socialist) and enrolling your half-wit children in soccer will prove the polarization between our ways of life. The rape of the land that was previously great foothills, river front, or our own lake resort towns is the exact indication of the type of people escaping from the shithole they made themselves. I feel the pain of those who lived in Eagle when it was the town it was. Oh, for anyone who wishes to point out any "pros" out of Californians moving here, like bringing jobs or spending money or what ever bullshit, better look up your facts first at city hall if you want to get reality shoved in your face.

1 Hey Timmy, are you a Bronco Fan?(I am guessing yes, as no one has any real life here in Spud-dome), the majority of the players are from California! Now I know you are being selective in your discriminating concepts of who is worthy and who is not, but that type of thinking went out with the covered wagon- you just never got off long enough to realize it. Now as for myself- I spent too long learning how to survive in the Jungle to even begin taking attitude from the Barn Yard. Remember- people (like Timmy) in Idaho aren’t retarded- they are “oh so special”. And if there are any other weak-minded people who resent the fact that Californian’s worked just as hard- if not harder to acquire the monetary possessions that seem to tic off the folks who still use out-door facilities. Now Timmy, you little cry-baby, try getting of your dead-ass and on to your dying feet and go work for a real employer who pays a livable wage (not for a hermit) where you can actually afford to buy your own home, car, and even choose what type of faith- if any to believe in. Timmy- you said it- this board is for the big kids- people like the Californian’s who didn’t fall victim to the system- Timmy just feels trapped like so many other Idaho Residents- Californians, they lived in the real world at least, not some Mormon induced servitude. Coffee breaks over Timmy- back on your head! |

I personally blame Kempthorne, but that's just me. |
|
Boise is turning into little L.A.
But it is still an OK place to live. |
|

Boise is an I.Q. waiting to happen! If you ask me, the state motto should be "Time Waster!". If you want to spend you life at lights that don't seem to understand traffic patterns- CalTrans is like God & Allah combined compared to these imbeciles at ACHD it should be ADDHD!.
And now back to your regularly scheduled "pep rally" Osmosis Amebas |

I heard Idaho was really the local misspelling of Idiot?!
Thakx for calling and please try to keep you whole head in front of the shotgun… |

I have lived in Nampa, Idaho my whole life. I moved to Austin, Texas for three and a half years 2004-2007. When I came back Nampa last year, I found it had tripled in size. Being a Nampa native, this was quite shocking to me. But I have seen a lot of positive things over the last year come from the influx of people to the Nampa area. We have better retail options in Nampa, thus alleviating the pain of having to drive to Boise every time we need a pair of pants, or want a decent bite to eat that doesn't come in the form of an extra value meal. Small business in Nampa is doing better. I remember seeing many small business owners closing in downtown Nampa and on Garrity Blvd. due to the fact that retail business just wasn't there. Garrity Boulevard is now thriving. I don't have to remind you of the gridlock in the late 1990s when it was a two lane road.
Downtown Nampa has been revitalized with beautiful fountains, landscaping, and flags. The pit that was once the Greystone Hotel has been transformed into an amazing sitting area. The city has changed, yes. Subdivisions have popped up all over, but with them, we have glorious walking paths. The farm land, which I adore, is being turned into subdivisions, but it would happen even if the Californians weren't moving here. It is much cheaper to live in Canyon County than Ada County. My neighbor lives in a $217,000 house that would cost him over $300,000 in Ada County, and he commutes to Ada County every day. He has lived in Idaho his whole life. I am sure he is not the only one who makes the sacrifice to sit on the freeway every day in a commute, in exchange for living in a beautiful community that he can raise his two daughters in affordably. In my opinion, growth will happen, and it is coming from all over, not just California. I have seen Texas, Utah, Colorado plates, just in the subdivision that I live in. We can't stop it. So why not focus on the positive traits that Idaho still has and will always have. We are still a very quaint, and small town home like atmosphere. Coming back from Austin, Texas, I can attest to that. Take a drive up Highway 55 and experience the pine trees. Drive through Emmett up to Sweet, and experience the small town atmosphere. All is not lost here people. I brought my family back to Nampa because it is still perfect and small, and warm. No matter who lives here. Remember, that the growth that has happened here has made a few Idahoans very wealthy, which is a good thing, and that money gets put back into our community. http://www.nampaid.ourtown.com |

Incidentally, there are a few things Nampans wouldn't have without growth:
1. A decent internet speed to voice their opinion on; 2. Three high schools now that offer really diverse programs for their students, which I would've loved to have had the option to utilize in 1988.(The french class didn't get me that far.); 3. A pretty nice movie theater. With gas at $4.13 a gallon, a night at the movies doesn't cost as much as it would if you went to Edwards on Overland, or the Majestic; and 4. An Outback Steakhouse, TGI Fridays, Olive Garden, Red Robin, Applebees, etc. do I need to go on? Remember ten years ago when you had to drive to Boise to eat out? These are all conveniences that people in Nampa utilize. It's because of growth that they are here. Life is too short people. Don't waste precious time worrying about something you can't change. Enjoy life and enjoy what Idaho still has! http://www.nampaid.ourtown.com |
