Why is this Open carry story in the "Oddly Enough" section?
Because responsible law abiding people choose to protect themself's and their family's they are "Odd"?

I see no problem with that, I am for open carry in Texas. As long as a person has no record, he should be able to carry.

Actually I would feel very safe touring the zoo knowing these law abiding citizens were packing weapons. Do you really think anyone would be crazy enough to start any trouble there knowing there were citizens armed strolling around?

I has to make you wonder what Lake St. would be like if there were armed citizen patrols walking the neighborhoods. Unfortunately they would probably move to "safer" grounds in another area.

Wow, nice to see some positive comments. Some of the bloggers out there are trying to slaughter us.
We really weren't out to get all this attention, but we're capitalizing on it by holding another event next month; highway cleanup in a dirty area of our town. Keep watching folks. You know..there are opencarry.org members in your state too.

I'm not sure why this even made the news. Open carry is legal and not uncommon in Idaho. Of course, if this was in Boise, there is some question if that really qualifies as Idaho...sometimes it't more like Seattle Lite.

Those "safer" zones are easily identifiable by the "Guns Banned on these premises" signs.
