Yo, Gold, you are kidding right????? you claim your loser daughter never harmed her son?/ think again. She may have not been the one who physically caused him harm...she didnt fracture his skull or cause the previous injuries. But she continuously placed him in harms way by repeatedly returning to her abusive boyfriend. She should be charged with child endangerment and ingnorance for chosing a loser boyfriend over the welfare of her own flesh and blood. Now the grandmother is forced to provide for this poor boy. bunch of losers. Why is it that unqualified low life losers continously procreate while able bodied, able minded and financially stable people have difficulties conceiving? Sad state of affairs.

Just because anyone can be a parent doesn't mean they should be. Poor baby, caught in the middle. Yes, Mom should be charged with knowingly endangering a child.

Thank goodness there is at least one person in this world who loves this child and is willing to be his guardian angel. I shudder to think what the future held for him in the foster system. Lets not forget about the untold number of innocent children who are not so fortunate.

Hey grandma, YOUR daughter is the FIRST one in the lawsuit right? OH yes she should be, the loser, put HER child in danger, after everyone else told her NOT to. Sorry for the child, but the only responsible person is the down and dirty mother.

Another white trash idiot almost kills a baby and DCF turns a blinds eye because they have a bunch of who gives a rat butt employees. I hope this boy gets our tax money to care for him and if and when the cat killer moves to killing people, he finds the piece of sheesh boyfriend and the mother, skins them both and then tosses them on the front lawn of the DCF workers home.

Two things from this article really stand out for me. First, there's this:

"In the meantime, DCF records show that the medical director of Broward County's Child Protection Team had reviewed Jace's medical records and concluded he was being abused. But the agency did nothing to rescue him." You just have to wonder why they did "nothing". Simply inexcusable. What in the world are they there for if not to do something?

Second, it was the mother that brought this scum boyfriend into the child's life. She is very definitely responsible for that and I hope she is never allowed to be with another child but that's unlikely.

The child should have been removed and a shelter hearing held. If the Child Protection Team deemed it abuse, there were no other options. Especially if the case worker knew that the mother was back in the home of her boyfriend.....

When I was a kid, there was a children's home in our town, many of them grew up and became successful in life. They lived together in big dorms, ate breakfast and dinner together, went to the same school, and their care was constantly monitored. They formed their own family bonds and many of them remain as friends today.

The whole idea of "foster care" is just too secretive and vague, plus I've heard of foster families who have made a business out of "caring" for abused kids.

God bless this courageous woman. I am right now trying to reach her as I need to reach out to the community as the system is failing my daughter. Tonight, she returned to the home where she had claimed a "monster" did horrible sexual things to her. The BSO advised me "there is nothing we can do" because there was not anyone with the name she had claimed. I had to hire a private detective agency to run license plates I got myself, to confirm that my daughter had verbally identified the monster correctly. I just lost the trial due to "insufficient" evidence. The questions is what evidence - since the pictures they used to interrogate my daughter did not include the person that I, or rather the private agency, confirmed. To this day, almost 2 months later, NO ONE, including no one from DCF has gone to the home to confirm even living arrangements. If anyone has any advice, I beg for you to share. I have not filed any suits, but I am afraid that will be the only way to get attention. My family does not sleep, eat, and our employment is suffering. I have reached out to BSO Internal Affairs and chief of sexual assault. The difference between my daughter's situation and all of those statistics is that like this grandma, I am reporting this PRIOR to my daughter becoming a statistic; but our primitive-thinking legal system only responds to crimes once they have already destroyed our children. I am a mother that works hard and lives decently so that I don't have to tap into social services and be a contributing member or our society, always trying to better myself for my child's benefit. But this system treats me like a crackhead who does not know any better. I know my child better than anyone. This is why the BSO and DCF find themselves in so many legal problems. Yet they want $22 million budgeted for Overtime. For what? When it is the citizen that does all the work.

There are so many women that only care about their "man". Their children always take a backseat to their worthless man. It's sickening!

The mother more than failed her son. DCF didn't do its job. It was concluded that the boy had been physically abused, yet nothing was done to protect him.

The one good thing in all of this is that his grandmother cares about him. Some children don't even have that.

"Nicole is not at fault here and I don't know anyone intimately involved in the circumstances who thinks Nicole harmed her son," Gold said. "The entire situation is a shame for everyone involved."

What a shame this man can't be honest with himself about this incident. Nicole did harm the child by returning to a home with someone who was probably abusing her son. She did harm the child by not insuring his safety and putting him abover her own pleasure and happiness. The woman was and is an unfit parent for not doing all she could possibly do to insure her child's safety and well being.

Well, it is obvious that on some occasions (god knows how many) some women - perhaps just a handful of them - put their SEX life ahead of their motherly instincts.

They seem to choose boyfriends who are incapable of relating to kids and tend to harm or kill them. It is an infrequent but not unusual phenomenon.

The great grandmother of these unfortunate children should, have named her daughter as the primary defendent. The daughter's father may be technically correct that a mother, under these circumstances, seldom hurts her children directly.

She just leaves the 'dirty work' to her boyfriend she is scared to loose.

As I write above: sex over motherhood. Obviously, we would have not evolved as a species if a significant number of mothers behaved that way.

A tiny minority (I hope) does and it is, indeed, the responsibility of the society to recognize that and protect the children.

Some legalistic arguments that 'it cannot be proven' who actually hurt the child are a pathetic excuse for criminal (or, at least, civil) neglect.

If the DCF has any brains, they should have recognized the pattern of the mother's behavior long time ago and should have taken the appropriate steps.

Of course, THEY will not suffer from any punishment, criminal or civil. At the end the taxpayers will have to pay in many ways for their misdeeds.

What else is new?

The daugther should have had her rear end thrown in jail for allowing this to happen. As a mother to small children, I can never imagine how anyone can put a child in harm's way like that. Thank goodness for jace's grandmother.

I have thought for a long time, that people who have been slammed by those paid to help them (local and state useless agencies) need their own A team

People who get together and get things DONE...one way or the other...

Daily Horoscope for December 10

Capricorn

Someone is in a finger-wagging mood and unfortunately they seem to be concentrating on you! Maybe they think you've fallen from grace for some reason, or perhaps you're simply the only person who happens to be around when they feel like letting off steam. Do your best not to fall into an equally critical and disgruntled mood, because it will soon make you feel wretched.
