If we could get the DA's, Judges and legislators to come to work sober maybe we could get the laws against DUI strenghtened and enforced. Just a thought.

If they would make DUI deaths 1st degree murder and the death penalty applicable, I think a few more people would stop doing it.

Right now there is no real punishment.

Or, make the judges and lawyers who get them off be tried next to them when they do it again might stop a bit of the plea bargaining.

A few weeks ago in the newspaper there was a state representative/senator who is going to propose the 1st DUI to be a mandatory 3 year prision sentence. That might help also. She most likely will get 40 years, 20 years per person seems to be the going rate the last couple of years for killing a person while driving drunk. Let's hope so.

i have dealt with alcohol - drug offenders for over 30 years.

nobody ever anticipates this kind of tragedy, but it happens all of the time.

justice will be served... the D.A.'s office will do what is right.

don't think for a minute that this could not be one of your loved ones. nobody ever gets buzzed, drunk, or high and hopes they will be involved in an crash.

fatigued driving, prescription drug driving, cell phone driving is out of control.

Michael, She wasn't buzzed, that woman was trashed and this isn't her first DUI. There is only one justice befitting that cur - life. That way, she would have no chance of ever coming in heat and reproducing.

Lack of prospects for reproduction is probably why she drank in the first place. I mean look at her, then imagine her sloppy drunk, eeeewww!!!!

This lady was an ugly snooze
Who gassed up on liquor and booze
She killed two people in a moment of fury
Now she will wait for the judge and jury
Until the cyclists will ride around heaven
I think one of their name's was Kevin
Maybe she'll plea and get out of it all
Hopefully in time for the St Patricks Day Pub Crawl!

i agree with the post that no one gets buzzed and intentionally goes out to kill someone, it is a tragedy what happened, but to talk trash about tausha or her family and husband who love her is just senseless. grow up people! her husband is going through grief also, his life has changed forever, let he has hasn't driven drunk speak, yeah most everyone has been there on a friday night or happy hour, they have drank too much and yes get behind the wheel, it happens all the time!!

I can't believe how many people are going "Everyone does it, it was unfortunate for her that she hit those people"

My god people, she got drunk and high, drove down the highway, hit a couple bikers, then tried to get away.

She deserves to fry.

Absolutely! I can't believe the number of people rationalizing what she did. And to the poster above that says her husband is grieving too - bullshit. That dude is doing the snoopy dance because if she goes away for a long long time, he just got his own little 'get out of jail free' card.

Daily Horoscope for December 4

Cancer

With the tender Moon waxing in your sign, you're in a romantic mood. This is great if you're with your beloved, whom you trust implicitly. You can have a wonderful time together and the rest of the world will just melt away. Try to be a little more realistic if you're dealing with money matters because there's a strong chance that someone is trying to manipulate you, or part you from what's rightfully yours. Of course, you'd never do something so devious...
