It is a real crime that pensions for government workers are nearly twice what the average take home pay is for people working in industry. A fireman works an average of four days a week, has room and food for those days and that is worth $245,000 in pension? Yes, they put their lives on the line during fires, but honestly, how many big fires are there in the life of a firefighter? Also, what does the chief do that is worth $285,000 yr pension? What an outrage. No wonder State government is broke.

You hit the mark on that one. Let me add to that. 75% off all firefighters in the united states are volunteers. and that $285,000 a year is tax free and when this guy turns 65 he will be getting over $400,000 a year. And you are wrong about how many days they work. Its only 2 days a week. The real problem is nobody seems to give a shit. They think they have a dangerous job. Bull fucking shit. The last time a San Diego Firefighter lost his life was in 1976

Daily Horoscope for January 3

Gemini

You are in a dissatisfied mood, and are just spoiling for a fight today. However, be warned that this could backfire on you unpleasantly, especially if you take on superiors at work. At home, everyone is used to your behaviour and they generally make allowances for you, as they will today.
