shutting lanes and slowing traffic is not the answer, True people do need to do the speed limit and the few speed demons ruin it for all, But the real fix in my opinion with all the money that is being spent on this bridge is to fix the bridge right!possibly closeing two lanes on each deck permanantly they could serve as emergency lanes, Putting more cones out and closeing lanes that way is only going to leed to that much more confussion,The bridge needs emmergency lanes as there are none and when there's an accident theres no where for a person to pull off to,There is also no place for emergency crews to work on the injured except in the lanes of traffic, Also when one breaks down ther eis no place to pull off to so it leeds to a traffic back up then it takes the tow truck even longer to get to the break down so they can tow it away and clear traffic, With an emergency lane the tow truck could just wiz down the emergency lane get the break down out of the way sooner and get the flow of traffic going sooner.
just my opinion, but it does work on other bridges in other states.
