A San Leandro police officer snatched by brother by his dreads and said, "Do you remember Rodney King?" While shoving his face against a metal bar in the back of his cruiser. What was he insinuating? Was this a racial remark? Was this a threat? What can be done about this officer's conduct?

What was your brother's reply to the question? Did the officer say anything more? You need to discuss the matter with your brother to find out more about the conversation he had with the officer. If your brother was injured by the officer I would recommend he file a complaint against the officer.

Your brother is a idiot, as I am sure you are. Listen and follow the directions of the Officer's while they are conducting their investigation. You step out of line, and you SHALL be treated as such.

You can file a report and turn them in. There are really good police here in San Leandro. Officer Neimi was one of the best I ever had come to my house.He helped me get a problem solved. They need more like he was. Try filing a report. He lost his life trying to serve and protect. RIP DAN.

Sounds like a bunch of bullshit to me! I really doubt it really happened, probably just what some PUNK said happened to him. Of course he could have been resisting arrest and just testing the officer's patience too...but like I said before I doubt that it happened. Punks just love to exaggerate and lie...especially when they were the ones who were in the wrong. I'd worry more about the other "brothers" who are responsible for about 90 per cent of the crime in San Leandro myself!

San Leandro Police vehicles do not have bars in the back of the vehicles. They have plexiglass as a barrier between the officer and the suspect. The passenger windows are left plain. It is the details that always trip liars up.

I sunny afternoon, sitting at Cherryland Park reading a book a Police Officer pass by while I was sitting in my car(reading)the Officer pulled behide my vehicle, got out and ask me was I on probation on porole I said no!,then he ask me what was my PFN. I stated "what is a PFN" then he went on to ask me for my license in registeration. HE ran in my information to find out my record was clean. Once he was finish harassing me I ask him for his badge number and also what was the problem. He Stated what are you doing at the Park. My heart dropped because police are suppose to SERVE AND PROTECT NOT HARASS inocent people just wanted to share my story which you sometimes you can't trust the COPS....

This is now a common practice with all the cities in the bay area. You are not alone. Most tell you to move on. The parks now are not for sitting in a car. They have sent out the message clear to everyone who wants to sit with an ice creme cone or eat etc in a car near, in the parking area or just resting in the car. This has happened to many. The reason I was given it is being done more is because of drugs and also child harassment etc. They dont want adults male or female any where near the parks in cars or sitting by yourself. Beware! That is the case. If you have kids or are in a swing, ha! maybe not then. My Dad was doing a crossword puzzle and was at a park while I cleaned his house. He was questioned. He is very old. They were nice to him but the same reason was given. He said that the police got a call some old man was sitting in a car by park. I understand that but still they will question everyone who just sits by, in or around the parks.

It's not the COPS we have to worry about in San Leandro. It's all the ghetto trash from Oakland and Richmond (among other places) including all those Section 8 leeches that we are paying the rent for as they continue to live the "gangsta" lifestyle and engage in every violent crime known to man. One certain race is responsible for about 90 per cent of the crime here...and you wonder why the police are suspicious of certain people???
