Voters... If you see any incumbent on the ballet, do not vote for them. This is the dumbest council Hemet has ever had. They are removing every city service and the city attorney, the highest paid staffer, is running the city.

Vote NO in incumbents

"Sweeping budget cuts" are simply part of the ongoing "plan" to make the city, and indeed the entire valley, a ward of the county, straight up.

By continuing to weaken all city services, including police and fire, the "administration" will be able to proclaim that the only option to continue as an incorporated city will be to contract all major services with the county, and lesser ones to private vendors that will be selected from stained and tainted "lists" that will be connected to the existing administration and their lords, JP and Chaudri.

Does it take nerve to utter the statement that your city budget is short 1.4 million right after YOU caused it by hiring TWO half a million dollar consultants, continue to pay ridiculous amounts for legal "service" and have the audacity to proclaim your fat wallet from the sale of the only "valuable" asset the city did have is "unavailable" for use, or is the ability to make such rivetingly unbelievable statements simply the product of success at having made them before, over and over?

Not at all unlike blaming the fire department for running nothing but medical aid calls, when YOU as the administration / council are responsible for what YOUR fire department does and does not do.

Litmus test: If "saving money by contracting to Cal Fire" is to be had, is that "contract for service" going to contain the same dictate for running the same amount of medical aid that Hemet Fire does now?

Of course not. Then just exactly who is pulling what strings, anyway?

Sure would be interesting to see the response from the assembled council and city management in a council meeting, on the clock and in public view, to these and like, pointed questions.

Interestingly enough, it seems the Press Enterprise engages in some kind of rather odd censorship. I recall seeing a post immediately after mine, in which a reader (rightfully) questioned the statement that I made regarding contracting out Fire services to Cal Fire, and that post is gone.

I certainly did not find the post offensive in any way, so apparently it must have touched some political nerve that the Press Enterprise taskmasters found unwanted.

So much for "free" speech and the principles of the First Amendment.

At any rate, to answer that reader, my point simply is that Hemet is "known" for an overabundance of medical aid calls compared to the average city, serviced by Cal Fire or not. Due to the preponderance of seniors in the San Jacinto Valley, this will be a constant in the equation of providing fire, and thus medical aid service when a poorly constructed ambulance service contract has been established, so no matter the providing entity, the costs will remain relatively ceterus parabus.(Thank you, Dewey.)

And again, if the ruling council should find their "in house" service "too expensive", all it takes is bold and wise council action to rectify that union driven situation.

Simply put, putting the blame on any entity that YOU control is nothing more than cowardice at best, slipshod management at the most likely, and outright willful misrepresentation of the facts at worst.

Please correct me where I'm wrong. Anyone? Anyone? Bueller?

Secondly, "the irritant" (with acknowledgement to e.e. cummings) is quite correct in their rant.

And to answer t.e.'s question, yes, there is yet another "buddy" in the "system" placed there by Nakamura, even beyond the so called finance director, who embodies all the skill of a Jerry Lewis personified "Patsy" doing the bidding of that arcane cabal; the City Manager "got rid of" the then Building Official, and literally broke the law egregiously in doing so, literally, literally threatening to fire him if he did not allow JP to get away with yet another breaking of straight up LAW in paying for TUMF fees, no less than with (no, I'm NOT making this up) Larry Smith in full Council robes in tow trying to berate and befuddle the counter staff to do so.

Think I'm kidding? Not.

At any rate, after the Building Official (rather boldly) stood up to the demand to allow this patently illegal transaction to take place, he was ever so very literally told that he would be fired, lose his hard earned (25 some odd years of service at the time) lifetime medical benefits, and FORFEIT HIS RETIREMENT INCOME if he did not RESIGN immediately.

This is hard core truth, 100 percent factual.

And the replacement for the Building Official? Yet another "buddy" of Nakamura.

Don't believe me? Ask this straight out in your three minutes at the podium.

I'm putting odds on you being escorted from the room immediately by a man with a badge and a gun.

The irritant

They want to cut 9 firefighters from your fire department, but they still pay 2 consultants, Andy Hall $388,000 dollars, Joe Braun $150,000, an unqualified Fire Chief $200,000. If my math is correct that adds up to $738,000 in little over a year. Not one of these leeches responds to calls, fights fires, or provides medical assistance. But, your brilliant City Council wants to eliminate the people that actually do the work. What a bunch of Crooks. Recall them! Oh, by the way that is half the projected deficit, just in the fire dept. what other departments are they bankrupting with Nakumoras buddy's. Oops I mean "consultants". I agree with willsmith848, the city council is doing their very best to un-incorporate our city. Maybe they think they get to split the reserves when Hemet goes under?

WillSmith, the problem with asking questions at the council podium is that they won't answer any pointed questions. They are a cowardly bunch that will trash anyone who is not around, like the previous fire chiefs, but they won't engage with people that are present. And probably because they are in the wrong and it is becoming obvious to even the blindest of citizen that their actions are for their own benefit, and not in the best interest of those they represent.

Or they will present false & misleading information after your done with your three minutes. This happened last year when a man brought up some issues/suggestions about the fire department.

Or they will berate you and essentially call you a liar. I heard this happened during the last council meeting.

A really disgusting bunch these council people are.

Brilliant! This is why I am running for Hemet City Council. So I can get in and expose the outright over the table corruption that has plagued our Government as a whole! We need people with strong support and understanding of the Constitution to replace EVERY elected member in the USA!

pretty sad when an emptyheaded simpleton like ravilla would be a thousandfold improvement on any council member or city employee that you've got.

would you really continue to pay your landscaper (much less top dollar) if he continuosly destroyed your lawn, cut down your trees and pissed in your bushes?

would you seriousl keep on forking out big bucks to your taxi driver if he kept running you in all the wrong places and hitting cars and people?

keep on shelling out payroll for an employee that broke equipment left and right, lied whenever he talked, and pilfered from the till?

yet you keep this council and manager on, with strrets you can barely drive on, cops and firemen fired daily, and a vast expanse of empty buildings a d vacant businesses lining the streets.

wow.

I agree, which is why normal ordinary people that read, study, and will follow the Constitution need to replace Politicians all over the Country and replace them with Public Servants who will take their Oath seriously, because right now we are under attack domestically by our own government.

Rather vague & irrelevant?
Every item I posted affects each and every resident of Hemet in a profound and fundamental way. In other words, the opposite of irrelevant.

Property rights have ben DEMOLISHED in America, we no longer own our own land. We have to ask permission to do ANYTHING on our private property, from pay for inspection and permits to build, to paying $10 a yard sale. We are forced into paying fees to go about our daily lives on our private property. Instead of forking over that money to the government how about we keep it and spend it in our community?

According to all the small businesses I have spoken to they would hire more and invest more if there wasn't so many hoops to jump through to open and maintain a small business. So much of their money goes to permits, inspections, and fees.

Also our Bill of Rights is trampled on and is being torn a part by every branch of government everywhere. We need a Police force that will protect us from having our rights violated.

Saying my goals are vague and irrelevant, is like saying everything is okay with America. American's need to once again understand the Constitution, because right now our biggest threat to the survival of our once great Nation, is not foreign entity, its our own government who doesn't follow the Constitution anymore. I recommend you study the Constitution, Bill of Rights, and private property rights. And then we can have a productive discussion.

If you want another politician who's in it for power and money then I am not the guy your looking for.

If you want an average American Patriot who knows and understands and has publicly made it his goal to follow and obey the US Constitution then I am your guy. All I am trying to do is expose the unconstitutionality of our government, and restore constitutional government.

I'll admit, I don't have a political Science degree, and I would rather die than get one in that field. Politics is what is ruining America. Politics is not a game, that is why I only have ONE political view and that is the US Constitution.
I was going to Westwood College to get my BS in IT Programming, but thanks to the constant tuition hikes, gas prices, and lack of good paying jobs. I had to put my college education on hold. But I never stopped learning, constantly researching and reading our founding documents.
