Too bad that railroads started this economy a hundred years ago and now are pretty much obselete so why need a commissioner? Confused here...

when did rail become obsolete?Most freight is still delivered by rail.Railroad Commisioner is responsible...in Texas..for almost every damn form of transportation and a million other things.Probably at least as important as Governor.
