Great idea! But, in our politically correct society, the do have a very slim chance of passing. Clean them up, make them doable and if they don't pass, its just another reason to vote our elected officials out of office.
Before anyone gets there panties in a wad and starts with the "Racial" garbage. This is not a race issue. It doesn't matter what country you're here from, if you're not here legally, you have no right to be here. As for Harry Pachon, the UNAUTHORIZED IMMIGRANT is ILLEGALLY here. That's just an attempt to water down the fact that they have broken the law. They have no vote, no voice, no right to be here. If they want to enjoy those privileges, go back to where you're not an ILLEGAL. Get the ILLEGALS out of this country. |

#1 says it's not about race, and then #2 links to a white supremacist website. Haha!
What makes that a white supremacy website? Because it calls out the likes of MeHCA and La Raza would propose taking back Aztlan by force to rid their (snicker) lands of white people. The truth is evident. These bills need to be approved asap! |

mike huff is a racist prick ,illegals are not the problem of the states fiscal crisis ,arnold is. raise taxes on your rich friends huff then there will be no problem .Its the immigrants that make it possible for california to be be the economic powerhouse it is .Take them away and you will see problems .Stop using illegal immigrants as scapegoats for the problems bush has created .Screw republicans ,you greedy bastards !

Guyaba,
Can you explain how the site is a white supremacist site? I couldn't see it, but I could be missing something... |
And one other the other bug problems in this country is they allow people like you to vote. Sheesh! |
I commend Assemblyman Huff on this issue. Unfortunately, as long as the Democrats continue to have a stranglehold on the legislature, this effort won't go far. At best, it'll highlight this issue for the public.

“A Nation of Legal Immigrants” Since: Nov 07
Lake City Florida,/ Kansas |
Harry Pachon, professor of public policy at USC, said the bills are too extreme and not well thought-out.
"It's posturing to a certain ideology that believes unauthorized immigrants are the root of all problems," Just most of them! Los Angels County: 10% of Los Angeles County residents are illegal aliens (the highest percentage of county residents in the country) Illegal aliens cost the county greater than one billion dollars per year in taxpayer costs, not counting education. Breakdown: $444 million for welfare and food stamps $400 million for health care $220 million for correctional services, law enforcement and other public safety costs New statistics from the Department of Public Social Services reveal that illegal aliens and their families in Los Angeles County collected over $37 million in welfare and food stamp allocations in November 2007, which is up $3 million dollars from September. Children of illegal aliens receive 25% of welfare and food stamp money. ---Mike Antonovich, LA County Supervisor |

Quote: Pachon said the consequences of such legislation could be dire.
Money sent home by workers in the U.S. is vital to the economies and stability of many Latin American countries. "That flow of money is keeping economic stability in many Latin American countries," he said. If the source of funds were jeopardized, Pachon added, there could be social upheaval and even greater flows of unauthorized immigrants moving across the border. Right! They send this much back to their own country, then hold out their hand for free benefits here, all at the expense of the American tax payer. Source: Inter-American Development Bank, March 2006 report,“Remittance 2005”. Mexico remains the largest recipient of remittances, at over US$20 billion, followed by Brazil and Columbia which for the first time reached over US$6 and US$4 billion respectively. Central America and the Dominican Republic combined to reach over US$11 billion; and the Andean countries totaled almost US$9 billion. http://www.iadb.org/mif/v2/files/guemez_remit... As much as 50% of remittances are unreported. As published in the Development Prospect Group Briefing #3, "This amount only reflects transfers through official channels. Econometric analysis suggests that unrecorded flows through informal channels may add 50 percent or more to recorded flows. Including these unrecorded flows, the true size of remittances, is larger than foreign direct investment flows and more than twice as large as official aid received by developing countries." http://siteresources.worldbank.org/INTPROSPEC... |

Harry also used the term "undocumented immigrant". Very pc of him. Now I know his liberal leanings I can simply ignore him. |

How about also doing this:
Confiscate & auction off property where illegals live - appartments, homes, anywhere they rent. Hit the owners with that type of punishment for making a profit from illegals. Any indivudual, city or county selling property to an illegal alien must pay 1 million dollar fine per violation. Property is auctioned off. Any auto dealership selling cars to illegal aliens must forfeit their business licence and pay 1 million dollar fine per violation. Any utility, telephone, cable, internet, satellite service, water, gas that sells to illegals must pay same 1 million dollar fine and loose their business license in the city their violation occurred. Anyone hiring an illegal alien as gardener, cook, house cleaner, babysitter, car washer, will be fined 1 million dollars and 1 year of jail automatically for each offense. Also must register as a convicted felon. Any school allowing illegals must loose it's license for one year per offense. And the school district must pay 1 million dollar fine per offense. No excuses. Everyone must verify the identity and legal status of anyone they come across for work or selling something. Jails must be built in death valley or in the middle of the everglades, far away from any communities where any illegal caught will spend 2 years before being deported. Only minimal amenities will be allowed and they must produce something beneficial for society. How's that! |
Deport all the ilegal aliens. As simple as A,B,C.
Your ideas are so stupid, you owe everyone here a million dollars.
screw u bob huff
Well that is helpfull! |
Oh, I also forgot that :
Anyone helping send illegals money to other countries (i.e Western Union, US Post Office, fly-by night check cashing places), theyre license revoked and fined 1 million dollars too. And any bank or cash checking place cashing an illegals paycheck gets sanctioned with one million dollars per offense and their business licence revoked. Hows those too! PS: These ideas are not stupid, so I am not going to pay nobody no one million dollrs (look at my pinky next to the edge of my mouth wth th erest of the fingers rolled into the palm like mini me) |

This is an important bill which needs passing!
Under former California governor Pete Wilson prop. 187 was passed by the voters only to be snubbed by the politicians. After Ronald Reagan's amnesty program NO administration after that enforced the laws of the land. That's why we're in the pickle we're in. This bill HAS TO PASS in the assembly!!! NOTHING less! |

OR how about just enforcing the laws already on the books? Federal Immigration and Nationality Act Section 8 USC 1324(a)(1)(A)(iv)(b)(iii) "Any person who ... encourages or induces an alien to ... reside ... knowing or in reckless disregard of the fact that such ... residence is ... in violation of law, shall be punished as provided ... for each alien in respect to whom such a violation occurs ... fined under title 18 ... imprisoned not more than 5 years, or both." Section 274 felonies under the federal Immigration and Nationality Act, INA 274A(a)(1)(A): A person (including a group of persons, business, organization, or local government) commits a federal felony when she or he: * assists an alien s/he should reasonably know is illegally in the U.S. or who lacks employment authorization, by transporting, sheltering, or assisting him or her to obtain employment, or * encourages that alien to remain in the U.S. by referring him or her to an employer or by acting as employer or agent for an employer in any way, or * knowingly assists illegal aliens due to personal convictions. Penalties upon conviction include criminal fines, imprisonment, and forfeiture of vehicles and real property used to commit the crime. Anyone employing or contracting with an illegal alien without verifying his or her work authorization status is guilty of a misdemeanor. Aliens and employers violating immigration laws are subject to arrest, detention, and seizure of their vehicles or property. In addition, individuals or entities who engage in racketeering enterprises that commit (or conspire to commit) immigration-related felonies are subject to private civil suits for treble damages and injunctive relief. |

There are many latino politicians and educrats who are using the illegal immigrants to bolster their own sinister agenda.
That latest rally and the battle cry of the late Cezar Chavez 'Si se puede' has NO place here. PUEDE what?! The billions of US$ flowing into other countries has to stop and the US government must monitor how this money was earned. Do those countries offer free education to all, food stamps, section 8 housing and medical care. The elite in those countries want to keep their wealth to themselves. That's why Presidente Calderon came to the USA, to stay the course. He and his predecessors could care less about the poor. |
