Calm before the storm or apathy?

Full story: Pasadena Star-News

After Congress voted against the bailout Monday morning, I went out on the back patio to think and have a cigarette.

Flicked the butt into the street. Let's see...if you smoke a pack a day, that's 7,300 butts flicked into the street. So it looks like you're dumping a couple of 5 gallon buckets of filthy butts into the street every year. Too bad you can't dump them all at once in the same spot, you would make it much easier for the people that have to clean it up. Also, isn't littering against the law? Funny, this is a column about crime.

Ironic you mentioned Washington Mutual in West Covina while you were confessing committing a felony in the great city of Azusa. Appears no one cares or is aware of the fact the vested career employees lost ALL their retirement funding last Friday and on top of that the bank, 100 N. Citrus Av., got robbed AGAIN at about 1730hrs Thursday, last hit 7-21-08.
Interesting that the 'comment' re; 7,300 butts is 2,000 short of the bank robberies in the U.S. this year. Does anyone care?
