Why I Chucked My Mormon Faith and Became an Atheist

Full story: www.alternet.org

I was about to join the record numbers of young Americans who are lose their faith each year. Preachers and pastors lament the loss of faith of 30-something and younger Americans. They debate how to best reach out to an entire generation that, for the first time in our country's history, is becoming nonreligious. We're leaving because we've discovered that when it comes to biology, geography and history, our conservative pastors and holy texts are dead wrong.

Madelyn O'Hair's special place of intense flames of fire is just getting hotter and hotter because of her efforts of sending more and more people to Hell.

It's amazing how the disease of atheism started with that bitch and now it seemingly will take down an entire country into a panic state of such immorality that we will never recover.
Thank God my children were able to choose wisely and stay away from the traumatic short term and long term effects of atheism.

Interesting article. Thanks for posting this.

"It's important to recognize the role that the Internet plays in our abandoning doctrine for disbelief." So true. Irrational faiths cannot stand up to rational analysis and freely available information on the web.

Denial. That's your answer to anything that complicates and interferes with your willingess to be evil.

Yes , no matter how cowardly or anonymous you are. If you tally up all the sock puppets of cowardly atheists, the world population is probably over 20 billion now.

Ummm let's see, to believe an intelligence that's good and great created all this or, to believe that through a series of sheer coincidence, my origin lays in a big bang that is still unexplainable? Ummm...I'll take the myth. It's a bit more comforting in thought :)

Can you show us a statistic or something to back up your accusation that atheism leads to immoral behavior?

So you believe atheists are not just non believers but are also automatically evil?

Humans naturally pick false beliefs that are comforting. Its a denial mechanism.
I am amazed to hear someone admitting it.

I was a Mormon.
My step mother got into it and I naturally followed. I was about ten.
As a teenager, I began to ask some hard questions and received no good answers.
I drifted away from religion but remained a believer in god and Jesus.
After 9/11, I started to ask even harder questions.
I found some books with some real answers.
I found out the whole thing about god was just a myth.
I was quite upset that no one told me sooner.
I feel I can now understand the world around me and the people in it.
Reality is so much better than than that old fantasy.

Only because of its anonymity. Shame won't let them venture out openly in the real world because they know it will be rejected once it exposes itself for what it is: REBELLION and WICKEDNESS

Daily Horoscope for May 21

Scorpio

It's a frustrating and rather disappointing day because you have to cope with delays and setbacks to your plans. A travel arrangement may have to be postponed or there could be a hitch about something connected with education. You're also feeling subdued and tired, and you're longing to spend some time on your own although this may not be possible. Don't worry, this difficult mood will soon blow over.
