It would bring some culture and sophistication to the city for a change. It's only functioning weekends during the day and very early evening. And because it will bring a lot of much needed tax revenue to the city, it is a very viable consideration.I dont have any exact idea of how much money but it is in the millions. And if we were to check into the Irvine Amphitheater we could probably find out.

It will bring in millions of dollars in revenue to the local shops and restraunts. Additionally it will bring millions in taxes. We need the money.

Local Dude Lake Forest, CA	Reply » \| Report Abuse \| Judge it! \| #6 Jul 6, 2008 There is a long-standing need for an Amphitheater in the South County and, the selected Site is within walking (or biking) distance of about half of those who would enjoy such a venue without any negative impact on the ambient light and sound for the surrounding neighborhoods.
