City Attorney Penman prepares to enter San Bernardino mayor's race

Oh here we go again! I am so glad I made the decision to leave the city! On the other hand, if Penman wins he will surely get rid of the useless blondes in the Mayor's office. What a waste of salaries!

Yeah! With Penman entering the race for mayor the people of San Bernardino now have a real choice of selecting a candidate who will put the city's best interest first and foremost. Unlike the previous blogger, I made a decision to stay in San Bernardino and work to make it a better community. With Penman as mayor it can happen.

People HATE Penman, he is a horrible person and while i'm not happy with Morris I still think he is better for the city then Penman.Yes he might get rid of the blondes but they will probably be replaced by drunks. LOL

Nothing will rally the Morrisites more than the thought of Jim Penman being Mayor. All Penman will do is soak up contributions that would otherwise go city council candidates who are opposing the anti-Penman councilmembers. This election will be the all time ugliest and the most expensive in the City's history.

It's too bad that Morrisites have that much hatred for anyone. What happened to the Christian ethics that used to be strong in this community? But, understandably, Morrisites are typically good old boys who don't like anyone watching the henhouse when it comes to nepotism, big contracts and the like. Baxter and Shorett are already being funded by Pat Morris and so the beat goes on. The lapdogs are already being bought by his honor but the grass roots voters don't need money to sell them a bag of social-justice tricks. They just want some honesty. Penman will always give you that, like him or hate him. It's okay for Morrisites to say they made a mistake, everyone makes mistakes. Even Pat Morris.

And he is lying already, he always planned to run. Yuck

If Morris loses the election then I wonder what would happen to his council of 4, his son, operation Phoenix, low cost housing and his new graffiti program? Can the city council be re-programmed to work with Jim Penman? Makes you wonder.

Best news I've heard! The gangs have taken over the city in the last 10 years; drugs are a big, profitable business. Penman know this, and we think Penman will have the guts to do something about it!

"Village idiots" are those who vote for Morris again. At least Penman doesn't speak one thing and do another, unlike many in City Hall right now. Penman is "crazy"...about filth and disrespectful residents who treat our city like their toilet bowl. If that makes him crazy, viva Penman!!! He did NOT want to run. I spoke with his wife last night and she made it clear that after last Monday's council meeting the Penman's knew this town is doomed to a slow methodical death without someone like Penman to stir things up. That is what it will take. Stir it up and move out the crap.

It is up to those who live and work in San Bernardino to vote for someone who will clean up the corruption that is so very evident in the way Morris controls those four puppets at the council. It was such a treat to see Brinker get summoned before his "majesty" at the last meeting. Brinker had not even arrived home from vacation when he came in like a court jester to perform for Morris.

I voted for Mayor Morris but will not this time. I do not like what he has done in office. He is also very rude to certain council members.
So far, I'm not impressed with that new high dollar city manager either.

Jim Penman, I was hoping you would just fade away. I respected you at one time, but you've become a bitter old person. It's time that you not only give up the quest for mayor, but stop running for City Attorney. We need some new ideas and professional actions. The screaming antics by you and Wendy are disgusting.

Xeno...what barrio do YOU live in?! There are no "village idiots" in San Bernardino. As for Mr. Penman he is smart, honest and passionate about improving the quality of life in our city. San Bernardino is filled with people who care about their city and want to see positive change. They are tired of business as usual and see Penman as a leader who will listen to their concerns and will work hard to make good change happen. We are hopeful that soon Mr. Penman will become Mayor Penman. Esperamos lo mejor!

First in the last election Penman got 36% of the vote beaten by almost 2-1... Penman is a rude, idiot who interjects his unqualified opinion as opposed to city charter or law. I know as My group was told we couldnt do something, then I had to show him in the City Charter where I could. He had to appologize to my group. Its sad when a teacher has to "school" a lawyer on City law..
Penman is a joke, an embarrasment and needs to be retired.

Xeno...Tienes razon...Penman did lose the last mayoral election by almost 2-1, pero... Haven't you heard?! Many people who voted for Morris now REGRET that they did. They are ANGRY that Morris has not fulfilled his election promises. They say HE is a joke, an embarrasment (also a lier and corrupt) and needs to be voted out of office. I am sure they will not make the same mistake twice and instead will vote for Penman. 2-1? Forgetaboutit!

I don't vote in San Bernardino but I do watch the council meetings. I think the reason Penman is catching some flack is he is not a bleeding heart to the special interest groups. I also like what Penman said the other night on wasting more money on the low cost housing.
If you are special interest group, then I agree that Morris be the best person.

I voted for Morris and I am disappointed in some of the things he has done, but I will NEVER vote for Penman. He is bitter and more controlling then Morris. Have you guys ever thought the council people respect Morris. I mean get real what politician does not lie, people wake up and as far as the gangs go it has been longer then 10 years, so you can't blame Morris for that.The Mayor can't control everything, helping fight crime is up to us citizen and the police. Just a thought when you see a kid doing things they shouldn't do you report it or just say thats a shame this city is really going to the dogs, now me I'm not affraid I will report it and tell the people to stop. Yeah I know you can be hurt, but you have to stand for something and I stand for helping kids and Penman aint it.He is a bitter person and it has nothing to do with his age.
