Cristan Shamburger wrote: Jeff Weems is probably the smartest person I've ever met and the best optional on the Democratic ticket. He's tough, he's smart, and he knows what he's talking about. David Porter is an ACCOUNTANT who's done the books for big oil and gas companies for 30 years. He has no real experience in the oil and gas industry. Weems has been in the oil and gas industry since he was 18 years old. His father and grandfather worked the oil fields and his son is an oil and gas engineer. Jeff Weems for Railroad Commissioner! If he is kin to the weems in West Columbia Texas he is nutty as HELL. all of them are!!!

I will support the person who has the courage to make it stop. Stop running trains down the tracks along FM 78 at peak times. Instead of the obvious enjoyment some folks are deriving from causing the traffic jam issues. Been here for 13 years and it sure looks like it’s being done on purpose!!!
May have heard one or two trains during the night but you can sure count on one between 0700 - 0800 to really mess up traffic along FM 78.
Ever wonder why the train is sitting just west of the Pat Booker intersection at around 1000? You figure it out when the train moving at 3 mph crosses the FM 78/Pat Booker intersection at noon.
Ever wonder why you don’t hear or see a train most of the afternoon and then enjoy the lights starting to flash at 1600ish?
Heck, last week it was about 0630 and traffic on FM 78 and FM 1518 was starting to get heavy. The west bound train slowed, slowed some more and then finally stopped short of the Pat Booker intersection which was really nice of them! Problem was the last car of the train was sitting halfway across the FM 1518 cross over. You have to be kidding me if you think for one second that this ONE CAR was a mistake. I was lucky to be running along FM 78 but I can only imagine how much the delivery drivers or truck driver's appreciated that action.
Seriously. Can someone please explain this? I completely understand that my post is a complete lengthy complaint. Just don’t understand why the engineers always seem to be having such a great time as traffic backs up along FM 78 intersections blocked by the trains they are operating.
