Sally McNally Murder

Does anyone remember the Sally McNally murder, I think in 1989 or so? She & her boyfriend were found out at the Lakeshoe??

I remember. I think it was 87?

They disappeared July, 1988 and were discovered by hunters in November or December. It was Sally McNelly and Shane Stewart.

I remember that this story was on unsolved mysterys. Have they ever found out what had happen. Was any one convicted?

It would be nice to know who is responsible for this. I was friends with her sister back in grade school....

I wish someone would update me on this. I was friends with Sally before she starting seeing Shane. San Angelo P.D. is opening a list of cold cases all the way back to the 70s but neither name is on the list. I have lived around San Angelo the whole time and never heard of it being solved. I would like to know why this case is not being reopened.

I have not heard of this but I will see what I can find out for you. There is no Lakeshoe that I know of. There is the Horseshoe at Lake Nasworthy. This might be why you have not found anything out and I do not believe you can hunt anywhere in the lake area so it would probably be two men fishing or camping. My cousin is in law enforcement If I can find out I will let you know here.

They were found at Twin Buttes Lake. Last seen July 4th at Red Bluff watching fireworks.

Angela you are right.I have lived in angelo since the early 70s and it was at twin buttes.
