Guns ruling likely means few changes for Kentucky

Kentucky, which has some of the nation's least-restrictive gun laws, won't see any big changes as a result of the U.S. Supreme Court's ruling, legislators and experts said.

It should never have been in question anywhere, bearing arms is a constitutional right.

Amendment II

A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed.

The right of the people to keep and bear arms! We have guns to protect ourself for one reason! Here in America we have that right! A criminal forfeits those rights by his actions, not law abiding citizens. Our 'militia' is those very same law abiding citizens, who could come together at a very short notice should the need arise.

Anything that would try to take away that security. Times may change but power hunger people don't. People in AMerica have always been willing to fight for their freedoms and with God's help we always will.

I try again:
What need is there for a militsa in the USA in 2008, a militsa that does no longer exist (elsewhere than in the imagination of some American gunnuts, that is)??
I am not even sure who you define as your "enemy" - your own governments? Your fellow Americans?
Outside enemies will no coubt be taken care of by the military forces - consisting of American men and women that can never be turned against their own people of course.
So why do you live in the 21st century America when you obviously are brained for the 18th and 19th century America only??
Grow up and get yourself some mature philosophies - this world has changed a lot over the last 250 years you see!(Or do you?)

The D.C. ban proved that the need is here, and more than ever before. At least now the playing field can be leveled for the potential victim.

Whether you believe or not, more guns mean less crime. America is still free and when we are attacked by anyone, whether in our own homes or elsewhere, we will defend ourselves, we have that right.

So you do agree your enemy is fellow Americans- with a bit different political view than yourself.

Try to switch to French, German, Spanish or Norwegian and I'm pretty sure will pick you to pieces. Trash!
I guess it's just a question of time before we all get "GunShowOnTheNet" visiting. He is perhaps even worse than you!

Don't make me laugh!I live in the country nominated the best country in the world to live in- 7 years in a row. You don't! And you are rapidly on your way down hill. You top the list of violent crimes in the industrial world. 30,000 killed by fire arms annually (all kinds of tragedies included)- and you talk about the 2nd Amendment and militia as reason and right to arm yourselves to the teeth.
It's your country but you look funny !
