why take the right of passage to laurel bed lake away from the common people so a few can line their pockets . this will bite all the folks that go there.

it will up behind the old graves. will not in any way indanger schools or homes. yes it will be somewhat close to cemetery but these are the type of people that would keep great upkeep and improve surrounding area, it will with no doubt make good money only a foul would disagree that fact. I say get tge deal done and lets make it happen

I would support the range and i live in Marion. Might do some shopping or eat at restaurants while in Saltville. Other visitors would also. I don't have much of a reason to go there now.

a shooting range is a good idea but why does the lamies get to have it and make money off of the citizens property. why doesnt the town operate it and let the town make any proffit.it could go tword school supplies or somthing like that. why should a private citizen make money off land that belongs to all the citizens and use town insurance thats paid for by all the citizens, and use town employees to build it. aint it obvious that this private club crooked stuff just aint working

This property is very valuable, and next to the civil wars battle fields. Go somewhere else. The Lamies rip off everybody in this town with their high prices and poor service.

A sure way to ruin something good for the community - turn it over to the town management ! Olin Corp - left the towm over $ 5 million in cash and much more in property ! Where is all that $$$ now ? We are selling timber and pulled our rails to pay the bills ! We cannot even support the trail that we embarked on years ago ! Damascus and Glade are growing and growing !

The land in question has not been used for decades. There are already enough empty sites in Saltville for businesses to come in but there is not an easy access to the town for shipping.
The range will be set-up by a professional and on one will be in danger.
The area will be cleared and the access to the civil war sites will be better. The two could be combined if the historical foundation would want to work with the range people. It is a shame that the two cannot co-exist. It seems the historical foundation just does not want to help. I would love to visit a shooting range and be able to read some historical data on the site. A good way to bring in families for both the history and fun.
