All pople need to pay for their crimes, and that includes police officers. They should be setting a good example. What kind of example is this? Where do Saltville find their police officers?

This guy is a poor victim of the system, the guy at the pawn shop set him up and coaxed him in to buying the gun, assuring him that because he had not yet been convicted they have no right to deny his request. This charge will be dropped in court and the person at the pawn ship will most likely be taken to civil court. If you're a member of the law enforcment community, be warned that taking the advice of a firearms dealer may cost you dearly.

He was set up by stupidity. Which it seems they all get caught up in there stupidity in any situation that they are in. How can anyone coax anybody into doing anything. If some one walks up to you and ask you to drink a beer with them. Well to me that is your choice no one coaxed you into drinking that beer or doing that drug. That is you choice not someone elses choice.

I couldn't care less about this guy, but please, oh please will the same person stop useing different identities to post comments. Don't try to deny that the comments from Johnson, City are all different people. The typing is identical and always negative towards Saltville Police Dept, which there are plenty of reasons to be negative. Just man up! get an ID and stick with it. You can remain anonymous, but please just MAN UP.

Did he set out to buy the gun, or was he retrieving his own gun from pawn? I haven't kept up with the news. He was smart enough to know, that you can get a gun on any corner if you want one. You don't go to a pawn shop. Trade times carrys ads, much cheaper than pawn shops. The fact that he registered in the first place should be taken into consideration. Maybe he feels threatened, with all the things people post on here about him. He didn't commit a malicious crime, just a cell phone bill. He wasn't dangerous, and had he been convicted before the purchase, or was he waiting. What is a felony, if you haven't been tried and convicted. Does the pawn shop have to fill out papers on the seller, or just the buyer? It should be illegal for a felon to pawn a gun, under the system, he can't get it back.
